Q: 1. Does it come with the power supply?

A: Yes, the KanexPro 4K HDMI Extender Kit over Cat 6 comes with a power supply that produces DC5V-12V.

Q: 2. I am having issue in my basement projector which is connected with my receiver over 30 feet distance. Everything is 4K compatibles. Its losing signal at regular intervals. Do you think this product will solve my issue ?

A: If you are using unboosted HDMI cable, that would explain the signal drop. This booster should solve the problem. Please note it is a special order. Expected availability: 7-10 business days then we ship to you.

Q: 3. What is the approximate range of the IR emitter? Just wondering how close to the equipment it needs to be to work effectively?

A: We recommend keeping the IR controller within 30 feet of the KanexPro 4K HDMI Extender Kit over Cat 6 (230').

Q: 4. Can I connect this to a 2.1mm or 2.5mm plug to use with a V-mount battery?

A: This unit is meant to run off an AC/DC power adapter which supplies 5VDC. V-mount batteries supply a nominal rating of 14.4VDC. If these two units were directly connected the splitter would be instantly damaged. Q: 6. Is this unit IP/network based? If not then how do you cascade up to 10 units without using a network switch?

A: The KanexPro 4K HDMI Cascading Extender Receiver over Cat 6 (230') would have to connect to a network switch that could provide 10 ports for the cascade.

Q: 7. do I just plug the power supply in, what are the black plastic back parts that come in the package ? ty

A: Don't have a clue. There's the unit and the power supply. Plugging it in turns it on.

Q: 8. what is the maximum distance for 1080p on CAT6?

A: When using a HDMI extender like the Vanco Evolution 4K HDMI Extender the maximum distance we would recommend sending the signal over Cat6 is 100m or 328ft.

Q: 9. What is the latency?

A: From the manufacturer. Regarding the latency for the HDM-C6IP-SET THE C6IP SET is an hdmi over IP Solution (minimal latency expected) Latency refers to a short period of delay (usually measured in milliseconds) between when a signal enters a system and when it emerges.

Q: 10. I want to convert a HDMI out put from a Livestream hd 550 to a Ethernet input of a mushroom networks streamer, will this work?

A: the HDM-C6IP-SET is intended to work as a SET (Sender and Receiver). It depends on the Mushroom Network Streamer if it is able to decode the signal from the Sender connected to your Livestream HD 550.

[104 °F] Bought this and its matching tx. They seem pretty good. You can select different definitions, FHD, HD, SD, and then can assign them to the 3 types, and allocate bit rates for each. Eg you can select HD, send that to SD and a bit rate of 800 and FHD to HD and a bit rate of 2000 etc. It then selects the resolution type, eg 720P. The only limitation I find a bit strange is that the full range of resolutions, are not available all the time. They vary what is available depending on the Hz, 50Hz or 60Hz of the incoming HDMI. I am using 60Hz, and this does not have 1080i, but if I was using 50Hz, then 1080i would be included.
60Hz has 480i, 480P, 720P, 1080P.
50Hz has 576i, 576P, 720P, 1080P, 1080i.
The other strange thing I notice is that if I select a bit rate of 800Kbps, and then monitor the link at the IP level, it seems to be using about 3.5Mbps.
However, for quality and ease of use, these seem to be great devices.

[4.8 in] This is the second receiver I have on their own network. Worked fine. Just plug up an ethernet switch and let the units talk to each other. No router needed for me. Might be buying another one of these critters to hookup to tvs.

[17.64 oz] It only works with 1080p, but it is an excelent product, the audio and video have the same quality as the original. One Tx can support 8 Rx, so this is very helpfully.

[104 °F] We have used this in our auditorium for almost a year over approximately an 150’ run for still images and 1080p video. Never had a drop out even during hour long video presentations and Set-Up was super easy. Going to get a second for a lobby monitor.

[32 °F] I have two systems running off of these in two different applications. One is as a straight 1to 1 extender, and the other is 1 Tx to 4 Rx through a standard switch. Both run 1080p with varying lengths of cable (50-125’). All devices have worked flawlessly since install. 2 years and one year respectively.
