Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the plate accommodate 3/8" mounting screws?

A: Yes, the ProMediaGear 8" Arca-Type double dovetail plate adapts to two 1/4-20 Mounting Screws and optional can accept two 3/8-16 screws.

Q: 2. Are all 7 screw holes 1/4-20"?

A: Yes, all the 7 screws in the ProMediaGear PXC1 6" Arca-Type Compatible Plate with Integrated Clamp BH #PRPXC1 are 1/4-20".

Q: 3. Can I insert the ProMediaGear PLX3T Vertical L-bracket into the ProMediaGear CB60v3 Clamp?

A: Yes the ProMediaGear Arca-Type Clamp for Straps, Holsters, and L-Brackets with Built-In Arca Dovetail can be used with the ProMediaGear PLX3T.

Q: 4. If the screws aren't for moving the strap loops will the plate work properly without them since they might scratch surfaces?

A: The screws are there as a safety measure. Properly adjusted, they will allow you to move the plate in a loosely tightened clamp without letting the plate slide out completely. The plate will work without them, but if your camp is designed to accommodate them I highly recommend you leave them in place.

Q: 5. Will this also accept 3/8" screws?

A: Pro Media Gear does not make a 3/8-16 screw for this plate but you can convert any 1/4-20 screw to 3/8-16 using this Oben bushing: https://bhpho.to/2XhMHiu

Q: 6. Would this be a good choice for mounting on Monopod with 10# Camera/Lens combo?

A: The ProMediaGear Arca-Type Clamp for Straps, Holsters, and L-Brackets with Built-In Arca Dovetail does hold 10 lbs easily. It has a smaller 1/4" screw opening in the bottom, so you would need a monopod that has that screw. Most monopods have a 1/4" screw though.

Q: 7. Will this fit on a Manfrotto head that uses 501PL quick release plate?

A: The PX3 and PBX3 plates are built around the Arca-Swiss platform. The 501 plate series are slightly different. They are not compatible.

Q: 8. Does it fits Canon 77D?

A: Yes. The plate will fit the Canon 77D and is an Arca Compatible Mounting Plate. The plate features a standard 1/4-20 camera screw that adjusts up/down on the bottom your camera for optimal fit and is Universal.

Q: 9. Can this be used on Nikon 200-50mm Tripod Collar? Thanks

A: If you're asking if you can attach it to the bottom of the foot that's on the tripod collar yes it will work there.

Q: 10. What are the dimensions of this plate?

A: The manufacturer has not provided specific details to us or any other published forum. Please contact them directly for accurate details - https://bit.ly/2PRWzvH

[0.26 lb] I bought this to mate my Canon M6 Mark II (in a SmallRig cage) to my new Manfrotto 502AH based on the B&H staff member who stated in the Q&A section that this plate would work. It does work, but I have a feeling the longer PM501L is the better plate for the application. That being said, I was in a time crunch so I used this one anyway and it seems to be a nice piece. I will buy the longer version of the same plate when I free up some funds.

[Aluminum] Everyone who uses a tripod should be using ARCA compatible plates for quick release attachment to and removal from the tripod. In addition, the ProMediaGear Quick Release system is the best quick release system on the market. You press a button to attach the camera or lens plate to your camera strap, and you press it again to remove it. You can't press the button accidentally, but you do check it every time you attach it. They have QR adapters for other brand straps as well. When I'm shooting in the field with a lens that has a foot and will take a lens plate I prefer to connect the lens plate to the QR strap rather than the L-bracket to avoid stress on the camera lens mount, and because it balances better. The only thing I don't like is that ProMediaGear doesn't treat its QR system as a system and won't make custom fit L-brackets for older cameras that are still in wide use, so with my 5DSR I have to use a PMG generic L bracket and have to remove the vertical section every time I need to change batteries in the grip.

[Aluminum] I needed a larger and more secure arca type camera plate for use with my ninja nodal bracket as the smaller ones allow the camera's weight to sag down.

[Aluminum] Nikon doesn't provide an Arca Swiss foot for my 500mm lens and the replacement foot from Kirk doesn't have a QD socket so I've added this to the Kirk foot. Not pretty but it works

[7.95 x 3.4 x 1"] I bought this plate because I wanted a better balance point for using the Nikon 70-200 without resorting to a collar. Installed on my D500 using the long slot, I can loosen the screw and flip it 90 degrees to extend it forward of the body and quickly return it to a normal plate position. Works great for me and doesn't block the battery.

[Aluminum] I bought this plate to convert my Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 S lens foot to Arca-Swiss compatibility. It was simple to attach and is very secure. I'm also invested in PMG's SS2 Quick Release Adapter system, so this is adapted to SS2 as well. It also makes for a nice handle to carry.

As expected from PMG, a high quality product and made in the USA.

[Aluminum] As a generic base plate it is a winner for me. With the no slip rubber strips on the plate, it works for my battery grip for Sony A9lll, for the Sony A9lll body, my Nikon Z8 and also the battery grip for the Nikon Z8. Would probably work on the lens foot of several lenses too.
Simple design, light weight and great quality for the price. ETL
