[Zipper] A few years ago I started to use one of the camera straps that hang the camera by your side. I love that strap! But with a big chunk of glass even these start to be tiring after a day with the camera by my side. So I saw this on sale and decided to test it. I was amazed how much I like it. It might just become my default carrying method. I'm a little anxious about not having the camera tethered to me, once it's released, but I'll have to use it more to give it my final blessing. Perhaps the thing I like most is the ability to invert the camera and change lens, when you don't have a work surface. It took just a couple of minutes the get it adjusted and the belt secured and tidy, but once it's properly adjusted it's very comfortable.�
(note for body size, I'm not big, with a 30 inch waist, so there's enough extra belt to fit a second person with me inside the belt. It's plenty big)

[Zipper] This is my third one in twenty-one years. After about ten years of wearing it every day they start to look a bit worn, but no seam rips or holes. Getting ten years of practical use out of any product is amazing. Porta Brace is always quality stuff. I use this pouch to hold my phone, flashlight, Leatherman, Sharpie, and an ink pen. The most basic tools to survive any production, and life, right at my side.

[Zipper] From the moment I put it on I felt safe trusting my most treasured tool attached to it on my hip. It has been constantly used since it arrived and is one of the most helpful pieces of kit I've ever purchased.

[Belt pack] The package came on time and with everything except the second roll of gaff tape. I only realized there were supposed to be two rolls while writing this review. It only arrived with one roll.
The belt is well built and designed with the gaffer in mind. Everything attaches really securely with a double/triple velcro system. The variety of pouches and hooks are nice. I have used one of these in the past so when it went on sale I took the chance to purchase it and I am super pleased. There are lots of small compartments in the small pouch to stay organized and have lots of tools. The second pouch is large and open to be able to hold a variety of larger things. The fabric and stitching are quality work. I am looking forward to filling it and using on set.

I have always wanted this Porta Brace bag but kept talking myself out of it. I finally pulled the trigger on buying one and I'm glad I did.


Sometimes I have a small lens in it if i am shooting an event with a smaller camera, but on a full set I kit it out with all the tools I'll need. for camera department.



If you are on the fence about it, do it.

[Zipper] Not too big to be obtrusive, yet big enough to hold a good amount of stuff - measurer, blower, screwdriver, Leatherman, pads, pens, etc. Everything I need fits in there, and I like the side loop for the tape rolls.
