Protect and add accessories to your Sony a6500 camera with this formfitting CAMVATE Cage with Top Handle for Sony a6500 Blackfrom CAMVATE. The aluminum cage comes in a black color and features multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 accessory threads. The matching top handle also features multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 accessory threads as well as a shoe mount and a 15mm rod port.

The camera mounts onto the cage using a 1/4"-20 screw on the base, and it features soft padding to protect your camera and prevents twisting. The top handle mounts on top of the cage using the included NATO rail and can be mounted in any direction. A red knob on top of the handle can be turned to rotate the top handle up to 90°.

A: The size of the a6600 and the a6500 are very similar. The only big size difference is the handgrip. The handgrip on the a6600 is larger. I can see the top of the cage can get in the way of the buttons on the top of the handgrip. Other than that it believe it should fit, however, I can not guarantee that it will.

Q: 5. Does it fit the Canon eos m? If it does, can the battery and memory card slot work still with the cage on?

A: The CAMVATE Camera Cage With Top And Left-Side Handle is a universal camera cage. The cage will work with many camera models. The baseplate is thin and should allow you to access SD cards as well as open the battery door of most cameras. However, the EOS M models are smaller and the battery door may be obstructed.

A: We have had no response from Lockcircle. We would then have to give our opinion that it looks like the cage can use the Sony SMAD-P3 Multi Interface Shoe.

[0.985 lb] For the price it doesnt get much better than this. I cant envision myself ever spending $200+ on something like this after buying this product. The build quality is fantastic - absolutely no loose points or any wobbling once you take your time to get it adjusted to your setup. Connection points everywhere, all the hardware fits perfectly and the tools you need to set up are included, although I was provided with an additional alan wrench that doesnt appear to fit anywhere as well as extra hardware that I cannot figure out what it was intended for - not that I think I will need it seeing as the construction is quite sturdy and the materials seem high quality. The real test will be how well it holds up over time. PROS: Build quality is fantastic. two different size side-rods for different camera sizes, the other can be used in the 15mm rod mount on the handle. Minimal hardware CONS: Wood is low-quality. Might be heavier than some prefer. Not easy to just pop the camera in and out of the cage, definitely requires a bit of time for setup/breakdown 5

[0.985 lb] For the money I can't complain much. I don't find the top handle that useful so I think that could have been an add on and lowered the price even more. Same with the wooden handle, don't need it so would have liked the option to buy without it. The only alternative for cameras with a battery grip is the much more expensive Wooden Camera/Manfrotto tall cage, so I am still very happy with this cage and it's amazing value. 5

[Aluminum] I got this for my Super 8 camera (a Canon 514-XL) so it could have a camera and side handle. Works great! Just wish there were shorter sliding rods I could use, since they stick out a bit on the side. 5

[0.985 lb] I wanted a larger, more comfortable handle for my RED weapon for handheld as well as easy rig work. I also wanted it to be universal as I still rent and rig a variety of cameras, so this option felt perfect. The nato rail is a nice add because I often have to balance left to right with handle placement. This option of quick-shifting is helping me have more balanced rigs and shots in a fraction of the time. As well the handle not only being softer and more comfortable it's also longer, so again I'm finding the center of gravity for better placement far quicker. This handle is quite the time saver and it has additional cold shoe and mounting points. I'm a big fan for the incredibly affordable price point. 5
