The CAMVATE Leather Grip Handle for Camera Cagesis designed to attach to cages and top plates via two included 1/4"-20 screws. It features a slotted design for the 1/4"-20 screws so you can adjust their spacing to best match your cage. It's made of aluminum with a nonslip leather handgrip that has visible threading, a patterned design, and a black cushion patch.

On the front, the top handle offers a shoe mount and a single 3/8"-16 and three 1/4"-20 accessory mounting threads, and on the rear it provides another 1/4"-20 threaded hole for additional mounting options.

Q: 1. Will this be able to fit onto the Blackmagic Pyxis 6k camera?

A: At this moment we can only say that the CAMVATE Rubber Handle Grip with Top Cheese Plate & Cold Shoe Mount for URSA Mini will work with the URSA mini cameras. However, it should work with the Pyxis as well. However, it may not be the exact size for the Pyxis camera. We suggest waiting for qualified Pyxis cages and parts to be released.

Q: 2. I'd like to use this with a Viewfactor BMPCC cage. But sometimes the mounting holes are different spacing (proprietary). I found this out with the Wood Camera handle, although they do supply an additional adapter to allow various widths. Will this handle work with othe cages or is it just for the Movcam cage?

A: I would say that it is more than likely the Movcam Top Handle will fit the Viewfactor as well as others.

Q: 3. Is the side grip on the left or right hand side?

A: The side grip would be used with your Right Hand.

Q: 4. How long is the NATO clamp? How long would the NATO rail need to be to accommodate the clamp?

A: an inch. it's a pretty small handle.

Q: 5. Will this handle fit on dsmc2 gemini whithout any plates?

A: The built in cheese plate on the top allows for 2 placements of this handle if you have the monitor mounted on top, one right next to the dsmc 2 top monitor and it also connects the the 1/4th screw mounts next to the battery mount.

A: It is not. Everything in the preview picture is what is included.

Q: 8. Does this handle fit the cage for the Sony A7S and enable you to move it out the way so that the xlr unit can be mounted also. Unlike the old movcam cage handle.

A: The twist handle is adjustable both by sliding the handle on the rail included or can be rotated which should allow room for accessories.

Q: 9. What size threads are those two small holes on the backside of the adapter?

A: The rod clamp features 1/4"-20 threaded hole, it's designed to secure to your cage using an included screw and Allen key.

[0.51 lb] Not just for BMPCC! I bought this handle to replace the rubber gripped fixed handle that came with an offbrand chinese cage for my GH4 camera (Varavon knockoff). This handle is a quickly removable NATO rail configuration. Comes with rail! Also has option for another single 15mm rail for added rigging. This handle is well built a bit on the heavy side, but just the right size for a smaller DSLR (like M4/3's or smaller)Compare to Wooden Camera at over $ Love the handle! 5

[Topside Handle] fits the hand well and is comfortable to hold for long periods. things mount well into the cold shoe mounts and being able to turn the handle is a nice feature as well 5

[Topside Handle] I bought this to replace the fixed handle of an offbrand chinese cage for my Panasonic Gh4 (Varavon knockoff). I needed a quick removable handle to be able to stash in my camera bags. This handle is very versatile with the NATO rail attachment and it even comes with a rail for under $ bucks! Built very solid if not a bit on the heavy side. Compare to over $ for Wooden Handle comp. Also has mount for additional 15mmm rail for added accesories. It is the perfect size for DSLR and smaller cameras. Excellent value! 5

[0.51 lb] I had already purchased and used one on my F55, but was just using the standard factory handle that came with my F5. After a couple months of steady use, the factory handle began injuring the tendon in my hand. Part of the cure for my very real pain was to get another MovCam handle for the F5. It's so much more comfortable and versatile than any other handle I've used. 5
