Q: 1. Hi, I'm having the U2 error code displayed in the lcd screen, after my third charge of the battery pack. The test button is not longer lit (blue light) and the unit starts to emit intermittent sounds. Could you give some advise on this issue? Thank you! Daniel

A: We're sorry to hear of this issue. It is best to reach out directly to Impact for further assistance at 1-212-594-2120.

Q: 2. Will this Impact Cruiser remote trigger Interfit lights? The LCD panel is identical and I'm hoping the wireless protocol is as well. Thanks!

A: No, the Impact Cruiser Wireless Controller for Sony Cameras cannot trigger the Interfit S1 series lights.

Q: 3. no chance I can use the transmitter to control my Venture 600 light as well?

A: Unfortunately, the Impact Cruiser transmitter can only trigger the Impact Cruiser monolights.

Q: 4. What comes in the box?

A: Included In the Box would be the following Impact Cruiser AC/DC 500Ws Battery Powered TTL Monolight Battery for ADDC-500-TTL Monolight Battery Charger Stand Mount PC Cord 7" Reflector AC Adapter Protective Cap Limited 1-Year Warranty

Q: 5. Does anyone knows if this would work with Interfit S1a?

Q: 6. Can I control this light with a Sekonic L478-DR-u?

Q: 8. Do you anticipate that HSS will be added for Sony soon?

Q: 9. Are this fan cooled?

A: Yes the strobes are fan cooled.

Q: 10. Will it work with a Canon transmitter such as the Canon ST-E3-RT Wireless TTL flash controller and in combination with other canon flashes such as Canon 600EX-RT Speedlite Flash?

A: This monolight would use a dedicated transmitter which is the Impact Cruiser Wireless Controller for Canon Cameras B&H # IMACDCTXC.

[TTL] The user manual that comes with it is very simple and to the point. You will have it all figured out in 5 minutes and be ready to start shooting. I love mine and mounted the light on light on my trip to shoot macro in the garden. Yes I would recommend this product.

[3] I’ve only had this light for a short while but so far so good. The transmitters are easy to use and synced effortlessly after matching the group/channel. If you are the type of person who does not like fumbling through instruction manuals much then you will like how easy this is to use right out the box. I like the sleek design and how simple it is as far as button layouts on both the transmitter and the light. Ease of use is great, portability is great and the overall weight is to be expected. It has a frosted piece that goes over the flash tube which is pretty nice too. The best part for me is the portability. There is a simple switch on the light for battery or wall power and the wall power plug/brick is included. I had to pay an additional amount with my existing lights for that option. The brick is pretty hefty but the cords are long enough that it won’t be a problem when using in an indoor setting. While being hefty it doesn’t feel cheap but of some solid quality. I’m using this as a travel option and as an addition to my existing indoor light kit. It has HSS but I am in hopes of a possible future firmware update for the Sony side as HSS is often used outdoors. I also shoot Canon so I already get that option along with Nikon shooters. TTL is also included which is awesome. I use that more for indoors but it can come in handy outdoors as well. So far I have only shot this indoors but plan to take it outdoors soon as the weather is warming up. The only thing that would have been nice to include at this price point is some/any sort of carrying case. The screen/display is located in the back instead of the side like some of my existing travel lights so I feel like it will be less susceptible to damage when throwing it into a bag of some sort but I would have still preferred a case. I knew it did not have a case before hand but its the only thing that I feel would have made it an even better light.

[3] This strobe can do it all! One of the reasons I got this was the large battery pack, it did not disappoint - the battery has great life and if need be I can also plug it into AC power. A bonus to this unit is the included trigger, I don'teven need extra wires or my pocket wizards. TTL & High Speedsyncare huge bonuses and seemed to work out of the box without extra programming. I love the LED Model light, just wish it was slightly more powerful.

Other cool things - glad it comes with a reflector, trigger and umbrella mounting hole. The lit LCD makes using this light easy and fun.

Cant wait to order a 2nd light and use them on location. I also own Lumix cameras and hope they make a Lumix/Oly Trigger soon!

[TTL] when I was on sale at 60% off because it seems to loose nothing to other lights costing twice as much or more. The modeling light is pretty dim though. I wish Id bought two.

[2.4 GHz] So I have the Sony and the Canon unit. The Sony works well and offers TTL with Easy functionality. The screen is easy to see and the unit is simple enough to figure out without having to dive into the manual. Functions and changes are basically just a push of a button away. So far so good! Soooooo, in the description it has the Canon and Nikon only having HSS. I knew this but decided to just randomly test the Sony unit with HSS and to my surprise it actually worked! I was very surprised and super happy about that. I shoot mainly Canon and Sony so it has made this light an all arounder for me for both set ups now. One feature I mentioned in the other post is that it has an option to slightly adjust the power range in HSS which is nice because most lights only operate in full power when in HSS. I’m sure HSS for the Sony unit is just a firmware update.

[TTL] I have three of these controllers. It is a wonderful improvement to the older one, However, The manual does not have an index. It is pretty difficult to navigate the logic of the various control menus.

[2.4 GHz] This makes the operation of Sony PTZ's so much easier with many of the main function's at your fingertips. Designed for the latest series of camera's but i'm using this with BRC H700's, Some function's are not available with the H700's but hopefully Sony will make more happen with a firmware update.
