The black Electro-Voice EVID-S5.2X is a pair of 5.25" 2-way 70/100V commercial loudspeakers designed to provide full-range sound reproduction and even coverage for system designers, installers, and audio engineers configuring systems for paging and background and foreground music in stores, clubs, eateries, schools, and more. Each speaker is IP65-certified for weatherproof use outdoors and features a fire-rated ABS plastic enclosure. A U-bracket mounting system and supplied mounting hardware enable simple and efficient setup.

A removable, locking 4-pin Euroblock connector allows for compatibility with commercial amplifiers. Access to the transformer settings is provided via a rear-panel rotary switch. The 5.25" woofer and 0.75" high-frequency driver yield a frequency response of 55 Hz to 20 kHz. With a 108 dB maximum SPL and a coverage area of 90° by 90°, the EVID-S5.2T speakers deliver consistent audibility and even sound distribution.

A: i use a crown xls 1500 and it seems to be properly sized. i also use distribution amplifiers to control a rack of amps, ie. another 2 crowns for fhe subwoofer, more evids, other locations, etc.

A: You can pair two Electro-Voice EVERSE 12 speakers via Bluetooth to a mobile device with the QuickSmart Mobile app installed to provide easy remote control of all audio functions. The QuickSmart Mobile app allows pairing and grouping of up to 6 speakers.

A: These speakers have a very tone for their size and price. I have a bunch of the installed in our classroom for a couple of years now, and have never experienced heating or performance degradation.

A: The Electro-Voice EVU2062/95 comes with a universal U-Bracket that allows for installation in horizontal or vertical configurations, and the ability to position the loudspeaker at any angle up to 330 of total rotation with the transformer kit accessory.

Q: 7. Hi, am working in a venue with EVID4.2 speakers installed. I was hoping they are the 100v line version as they have the sticker for tapping on the back with a plastic plug in the middle. I cant find a "T" anywhere. Would these be 100 volt?

A: This is a passive speaker that requires an amp. The connectors on the back are screw-in Euroblock connections.

Q: 10. What is the purpose of the Transformer? I am trying to replace identical speakers and not sure if I need the Transformer version or not. Thanks

A: Transformers are used in 70/100 volt distributed audio systems. If your older speakers have the transformer , then you would use these as replacements. If your system is not 70/100 volts, then you set the rear selector switch to 8 ohms.

[60 W] I run a system in my church and currently own 6 of this speakers. 2 are elevated main for Highs and mid on 2000 watt amps and a driverack. The other 4 are stage monitors 2 on 1000 w amps and 2 on 2000 watt amps all the ones that are use for monitors are running in full range. They have awesome High and mid, and for the size the low is not bad at all. Great response when used with a drive rack or crossover. Really light and really heavy duty. Would recommend to anyone. 5

[ABS] I've been a JBL person for many years, but I must say that putting this speaker next to my JBl JRX112M (the same speaker configuration), blew me away. I never thought JBL could be surpassed. I was wrong. This EV speaker did it. As a pro musician for many years, I rate this at the top 3 speakers in it's class, if not the top of the heap. I love the light weight for transporting, as I have to move my equipment 5 nights per week in Las Vegas. The sound reproduction is great. It actually put out more volume at the same mixer setting than the JBL. There are two things I would like to see changed. The handles should be on top (as the JBL), not on the sides. This will make the speaker easier to grab and load into a vehicle, instead of bending over and reaching for the handle on the side. Another change I would like to see, is that the cabinet would have both Speakon and 1/4 inputs, as some mixers don't have Speakon outputs, therefore requiring you to buy an adaptor. The JBL has both Speakon and 1/4 inputs. Otherwise, this speaker is an excellent choice... 5

[60 W] Love these speakers. Installed 8 in a venue, 4 in each room and they sound amazing! But add a 15 inch subwoofer and it sounds like a club! Amazing quality, clarity and overall volume these 6.2 evids produce! 5

[89 dB] This is an amazing loudspeaker. It's well-built, rugged and easy to handle. We purchased this to replace a speaker in a school gym; the sound quality and clarity and unmatched. Be aware of the connecter ports look similar to XLRs, but are in fact Speakon NL4FC Ports; they can be easily refitted with XLR is needed. 5

[2-Way] I got these speakers for an small bar that is within an exotic cars dealership. To make long story short. During the day they have the volume close to nothing but you can hear everything! Every single instruments so there is no need to turn up the volume. Usually speakers have very low quality in low volume and you need to force your hears or turn up the volume. But these speakers are a bliss.... accurate response like a Yamaha studio monitor. And then... when rising the volume they sounds great! it was a huge surprise, best that Bose speakers or anything else. All we need for the venue is a 15 powered sub base but that will make it a club. Buy them with your eyes closed and we are using a Beringer amp, it works perfect. 5
