The white Electro-Voice EVID-S8.2 is a pair of 8” 2-way 8 Ohms commercial loudspeakers designed to provide full-range sound reproduction and even coverage for system designers, installers, and audio engineers configuring systems for paging and background and foreground music in stores, clubs, eateries, schools, and more. Each speaker is IP54-certified for weather-resistant use outdoors and features a fire-rated ABS plastic enclosure. A pre-assembled mounting system and supplied mounting hardware enable simple and efficient setup.

A removable, locking 4-pin Euroblock connector allows for compatibility with commercial amplifiers. The 8” woofer and 1” high-frequency driver yield a frequency response of 50 Hz to 20 kHz. With a 110 dB maximum SPL and a coverage area of 90° by 90°, the EVID-S8.2 speakers deliver consistent audibility and even sound distribution.

Q: 1. Hi, am working in a venue with EVID4.2 speakers installed. I was hoping they are the 100v line version as they have the sticker for tapping on the back with a plastic plug in the middle. I cant find a "T" anywhere. Would these be 100 volt?

A: This is a passive speaker that requires an amp. The connectors on the back are screw-in Euroblock connections.

A: Yes you might have twist bare cables a few times but should fit.

A: Yes, you can connect 2x Electro-Voice EVERSE 12 Weatherized Battery-Powered Loudspeaker with Bluetooth Audio and Control (Black) via the XLR MIX OUT. That will send the audio from speaker A to the input of speaker B.

A: Yes the Electro-Voice ETX-10P Portable Powered Loudspeaker is 100-240V compatible.

A: It is sold as a single speaker.

Q: 9. what type of Amplifier is suitable for these speakers?

A: i use a crown xls 1500 and it seems to be properly sized. i also use distribution amplifiers to control a rack of amps, ie. another 2 crowns for fhe subwoofer, more evids, other locations, etc.

Q: 10. Can I use old Marantz receiver:2230 with 30W RMS per channel ?

A: These speakers require much more power than 30 watts. I would recommend the Bose 161 Full-Range Bookshelf Speakers (Black, Pair), BH #BO161B, which can handle 10 to 100 watts.

[IP54] These electro voice speakers are incredible. B&H was great, even though their storefront in New York Ciry was closed due to the protests and looting, my order arrived from the warehouse in two days. 5

[1" / 25 mm] We use this as a floor monitor for our church's praise band. We had just one we purchased quite some time ago, and decided to add another of the same one (since we were so happy with it). We have no sound issues with it (no hiss or buzz), and are completely happy with the output. It serves our use perfectly. 5

[IP54] I got these speakers for an small bar that is within an exotic cars dealership. To make long story short. During the day they have the volume close to nothing but you can hear everything! Every single instruments so there is no need to turn up the volume. Usually speakers have very low quality in low volume and you need to force your hears or turn up the volume. But these speakers are a bliss.... accurate response like a Yamaha studio monitor. And then... when rising the volume they sounds great! it was a huge surprise, best that Bose speakers or anything else. All we need for the venue is a 15 powered sub base but that will make it a club. Buy them with your eyes closed and we are using a Beringer amp, it works perfect. 5

[Passive] Easy to install with attached mounting hardware. Excellent sounding and weather resistant. Installed these and the 5.25” weather proof EV speakers as an outdoor system for a 1-12 grade school. Installed a total of 30 speakers. The administration was very happy with the results. 5

[50 Hz] Love these speakers. Installed 8 in a venue, 4 in each room and they sound amazing! But add a 15 inch subwoofer and it sounds like a club! Amazing quality, clarity and overall volume these 6.2 evids produce! 5

[IP54] Picked up two pair of the EVID 6.2 speakers to use as height speakers in my Atmos/DTS:X system. I built tall custom stands to support the 6.2's instead of wall-mounting them. These speakers are doing an outstanding job in their role as height speakers, and I think a pair would be equally suitable as main L/R satellites when coupled with a subwoofer. I'm powering my 6.2's with a Crown CTs4200, which, at 180 RMS watts per channel, is an excellent match for them. 5
