The CAMVATE Shoe Mount Cheese Handle for Top Accessoriescan be attached directly to your camera's hot shoe via a shoe mount provided on the bottom. It can also be attached to cages and other supports that have a shoe mount receptacle.

On the front, this top handle offers a removable shoe mount (secured to two 1/4"-20 threads) for attaching lights, mics, and other accessories. It also features a 1/4"-20 threaded hole on the left and right sides for attaching yet more accessories, such as articulating arms, and one on the rear for additional mounting options. Also, there are 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes along the length of the handgrip that allow for a lighter-weight design and can also be used for attaching accessories in certain uses.

[0.49 lb] I needed a handle for my compact and full frame mirrorless Sony cameras. What I like about this SmallRig Cold Shoe Handle is a) the ability to insert a 15mm rod for other accessories, the brightly finished oversized thumb screw lock, and all the ways to attach via rosettes, 1/4, 3/8, and two additional cold shoe locations. I attach my 5 external monitor, a short shotgun microphone, and the rig feels solid and dependable. Great little accessory! 5

[Aluminum] Ill preface by saying that I realize this handle is primarily for video. That being said, there times that I rig my camera up with a shotgun mic even when Im going to shoot photos just in case a video scenario presents itself. Until now Id just put the mic on the cold shoe of the camera, a Lumix G85, but I bought this handle (again) for those potential video scenarios with the idea that Id mount my mic on the handle. The handle is very well constructed and, for me, a better alternative than a full cage. I love that I can take it off and put it back on the camera in seconds and stow it away in my bag taking up almost no room. My one TINY criticism is that using it as Ive described here, the handle sticks out a few inches past the rear of the camera so Im unable to use the optical viewfinder. Yes, I can still use the tilt screen to frame and focus, but I personally prefer doing those things by eye for photography. All in all, though, a really great little addition to my arsenal. Highly recommend. 5

[0.49 lb] It is definitely worth the upgrade to get this handle, the nob for attaching to the shoe is super strong and tight. there's so many options for mounting and having the weight of the camera under is great for easy handheld shots. Have been using this on a Sony A7S iii 5
