For example common tungsten fresnel @ 300W outputs 2500lx in flood and 6500lx in spot whereas Practilite602 outputs 3100lx and 10000lx, not to mention it outputs about 15000lx in Boost Mode @ 4500K.If it is enough as a key light it depends on the subject matter, the scene and of course on the sensitivity you are willing to use: the smaller the scene the more light will you have, as for normal portraiture it will do fine but remember if you add a softbox/chimera you will lose half the light output which can be compensated by moving the light closer to the subject, if possible.
