Q: 1. How do you reset the combo for the lock?

A: First, turn the dials to the preset combination and align the numbers to the guide line. Then, Push the reset button with a pen (or other tool). Continue to hold until your desired numbers are set. (Do not let go of the button while setting the dials.) Lastly, Release the reset button. The lock is now set to your own combination.

Q: 2. If this has a 14.8v output and the camera has a 12v input, is there a risk of burning the camera?

A: There will be a risk of damaging your device from the extra current.

A: The power output only states a 13 to 14.8 volts at 6 amps. You will get the full power output for your light.

A: Just checked with IDX v-mount batt and does not connect due to the guide channels in the batt. If the V mount was on a flat surface you may have some luck.

Q: 5. will this mount a v-lock battery?

A: The V-Lock base station, while shaped like the standard V-Mount, does not work with batteries. You cannot attach a battery to this device

A: Yes. It screws on.

A: This magnetic lock is designed to be connected to an access control system to allow entry/exit from a door. It is typically used in businesses with either a key card swipe access or someone (eg: receptionist) can release the door to let in visitors.

Q: 8. Would this fit an F5 or F55? And if so does it lock into the standard Sony QR plate? Also, how comfortable is the pad?

A: This item is NOT for the F5/55. For your camera you will require the Movcam 303-1908. The pad is a soft foam to add comfort and is curved to fit anatomically to the slope of an operators shoulder. Very similar to the pads found on the bottom of Sony shoulder mount cameras. The plate snaps into a VCT14/U14 SONY plate the same as a normal shoulder mount camera that uses the VCT.

Q: 10. Would this work with an Fs7?

A: The support is designed to work with the FS700. The rod center height will not fit properly to work with matteboxes and accessories if used with an FS7. For the FS& you will need a 303-2701 and 303-2702. These items are made for the FS7 and will allow the camera to slide on the plate for better balancing. It is VCT V lock compatible and will also slide onto ARRI style dovetail plates.
