Mount the Receiver Rod Clamp directly to the 1/4"-20 thread on an MDR-M or MK3.1 Receiver, or to the 1/4"-20 thread on the mounting bracket for the MDR-MB unit. This compact, double bracket's 1/4"-20 thumbscrew fastens to a 19mm rod on one flank, or to a 15mm rod on the other.

[0.08 lb] This part is well machined and is good for attaching accessories. I use it to hold a 7 monitor on top of a mini ball head. If you are very heavy handed I could see eventually stripping the threads on tightening but if you don't get crazy with it you should be fine. It's worth the money. 5

[1/4"-20] So far I am liking this shoulder and grip mount a lot. I bought a remote zoom control to mount on 1 grip handle and also a double rod clamp to mount a lead weight for counter balance after reading reviews. Using a Cannon XA-20. 5

[15/19 mm] I'll use this with Lanparte Extendable 15mm Aluminum Rod (Pair, 11.8) and a Sachtler Ace Baseplate. The rod clamp will serve several purposes like another attachment point, protect body parts and clothing from the ends of the rods, and act as a hard stop for the Sachtler Ace Baseplate (just in case I forget to tighten the baseplate; don't want thing sliding off the end). 5
