[Aluminum] The stand is perfect for my VR photography. It is light and easily transportable. the adjustable leg helps upright the stand so there is very little tilt on sloping ground. My only complaint is the the top mounting screw does not pan around 360 degrees. On a smooth even floor it makes no difference as the stand with mounted camera can be picked up and swiveled around. On uneven ground the adjustable leg may not be in a position to add any benefit if the camera facing direction cannot be changed. The weight, size and quality construction are all superb. 5

[1.77 lb] For a wide shorter base I added the Feisol CB-30D ball head to this and it was sweeter than a hot fudge sundae! It is strong, VERY well built, easy to use (you toggle the silver knobs to go from narrow to WIDE base. Thank You Manfrotto & B&H! 5

[Yes] I walked in BH store with my ASUS Zoom (5,5 screen) with some 3D apps installed and checked all the VR headsets available. This product fits the best all big-screen smartphones and fablets, easy to use, allows viewing 3D and for my goal - to start developing 3D apps in C# for Anroid in MS VS - the best option. The only model that has a soft foam holder inside, that wouldn't scratch your phone and hold it reliably inside the headset when turning your head. I recommend. 5

[1x 3/8"-16 Male] I was looking for something strong enough to support my DSLR with a nifty fifty with just the right height to sit behind my monitor for use as a webcam. This one is perfect. Strong and solid, non-telescoping legs help to ensure it sits level (and reduces cost and complexity), adjustable column to fine tune the height. I've put a small Manfrotto ballhead on it that I already owned, but a pan-tilt head would be sufficient (and probably preferable) for this use. 5
