A: I would suspect that there would be no damage if it were thoroughly dried. Unless it is salt water which leaves corrosive residue. I simply use plastic trash bags over each leg to keep them dry, no issues then. I extend lower leg all the way and adjust upper one until level etc.

A: Sales and prices change frequently. If its a good price now, Id take the plunge. I bought it after lurking for weeks and not long after, the price went up over $75. My kit did not come with a bag.

[0.83 lb] The stand is perfect for my VR photography. It is light and easily transportable. the adjustable leg helps upright the stand so there is very little tilt on sloping ground. My only complaint is the the top mounting screw does not pan around 360 degrees. On a smooth even floor it makes no difference as the stand with mounted camera can be picked up and swiveled around. On uneven ground the adjustable leg may not be in a position to add any benefit if the camera facing direction cannot be changed. The weight, size and quality construction are all superb. 5

[Aluminum] I've only had this boom pole for a few days but I think it is perfect for small productions where portability is essential. Light but solid construction and tightens easily without the need to over-crank on the fasteners. Overall, really good product! 5

[Aluminum] This is an update of the model I've been working with for the past 13 years, and there are many significant improvements. The rubber hand grip on one of the legs is much more substantial, and the height has increased by 4 inches. The levers are longer which gives you more leverage when flipping them open and shut--however the quality of these levers feels a tad more flimsy. The rubber feed pads are more robust. And best of all, the lock at the top of each leg now opens in the opposite direction, towards the tripod feet. So their much, much easier to click open and spread the legs outward. Lastly, the legs are no longer completely round, which adds strength and allows the legs to glide open with more ease. 5
