[12 VDC, 1000 mA] I needed a power supply for a musical-instrument device that I bought used. This power supply met all the technical requirements (and its price was much lower than elsewhere), except that its plug had an incorrect center-pin diameter (I wish the listings for such devices included that spec; they seldom do). Luckily I had a power supply with the right plug that I don't need; I spliced that power supply's cable onto this one since I have the necessary tools and skills. It's now doing the job!

It's rugged, bright, easy to handle and waterproof. On a boat you need to always have safety gear (flashlight) in functioning order. No corrosion on this light whatever. This is the second one I own. First is still going strong after 3 years. Although on my first, the switch can sometimes be a little finicky...

[12 VDC, 1000 mA] I used the supply to power 2 G4 style LED under counter lamps. They are 12-volt LEDs that I wired in parallel and each use 240mA so the 500mA rating of this PS was perfect.
