The Thor 4-Channel HD-SDI Encoder IPTV Streamerfrom Thor 4-Channel HD-SDI Encoder IPTV Streameraccepts up to four channels of uncompressed HD-SDI digital video on four BNC connectors. It can be managed through any modern web browser. Each encoder can be independently adjusted for bit rate, codecs, and video image qualities. All four program streams are multiplexed into an ASI MPTS output on mirrored BNC terminals. The ASI output can be directly connected to the ASI input on a QAM-IP digital TV channel modulator, allowing additional programs to be added to the QAM-IP output channels as additional virtual or sub channels. It will appear as channel 2.1 or 2.2, and each digital channel can carry as many as 20 programs, depending on resolution and encoded bit rate.

In addition to the ASI output, the program streams are also available as UDP or RTP network video transport streams. This output is fully compliant with IGMP multicast UDP MPEG-TS standards and can be easily injected into almost any IPTV system. The stream is a universally accepted format, and can easily be viewed in client applications such as VLC. In addition to network management on a dedicated NMS Ethernet port, you can view or adjust all settings and menu configuration items from the front panel LCD and keypad. We have used a cellular usb modem, direct Cat5 internet connection, wifi, and a Cradlepoint cellular device to access the internet with no issues. We start the stream by accessing the Solo website with a smartphone. The events can be pre-configured using a pc but its not required. I hope this helps and we highly recommend using the LiveU Solo.
