The 10' cable is terminated with an XLR-female connector at one end and a USB Type-A connector at the other. Part of Roland's Black Series it features a durable, lightweight design with great protection for everyday travel. The cable is hand-assembled with top-quality connectors and then bench-tested to ensure superior audio quality.

[USB-A] The whole point of using this is that it allows you the fallibility and freedom to use whatever microphone you would like. Provided that mic connects with a XLR connector of course, and doesn't require phantom power to function.
I use this causally, it's paired with a Audio Technica ATR1300, on my desktop computer with a simple flat base mic stand.

Discord, Telegram, really whatever I'm doing that might require me to transmit my voice works just fine with it. There's no audible hiss or noise. The audio is crystal clear. Since it's USB, I can easily migrate the setup to computer from computer.

If I got a dud, like I did with another audio interface from another company. I'd be having to deal with warranty and RMA hassles. You might as well. So open it and test it as soon as it arrives!

Note: You'll need to do a little configuration in the settings to get your microphone of choice to be audible. When I first plugged everything in I could barely hear myself.

[USB-A] I have run a production company since the mid 80's and I have spent good money on bad products way too many times. Whirlwind has always been top of the line and I have many of their wiring products. These cables are another great product by Whirlwind. Don't waste money on cables that will fail within a few shows. Buy these and you'll be set for life.

[USB-A] Sooner or later, you'll want your good mic to be usable in your computer. For example, podcasters will love this or when on a Zoom meeting, having a mic that's better than the webcam-supplied variety makes it easier for everyone to understand you. Just connect this to any XLR mic and it becomes a USB mic. How cool is that. No expensive equipment or finicky drivers. It just works.

Nice product, I'll be making a lot of use of this.

[USB 1.0] Have been using it to participate (audio only) in Zoom meetings. Plugged my Sennheiser e835 into the XLR connector on one end, and the USB connector into a USB hub for my Mac mini. Works great!

[0.5 lb] These cables are solid workhorses with heavy duty connectors. They are well made and seem like they will last a long time. What more could you ask for in a cable?

[USB Bus Power] I am using this cable for my intended purpose. The purpose is Podcasts. By connecting my mic through its XLR output to my labtop's usb input it really gets the job done. Especially since I am using Audacity to do my recordings.
