It comes equipped with a Speedotron speed ring, making it compatible with Speedotron Black Line and Brown Line strobes. Optional speed ring inserts can also be used for quickly switching compatibility to additional light mounts. Thanks to its heat-resistant fabric, this softbox can be used with strobes as well as continuous light sources without any problems.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this compatible with a Godox AD 200 in terms of light power output?

A: If you purchase the Godox S-Type Speedlite Bracket for Bowens, B&H # GOSZ1, or the Godox S2 Speedlite Bracket for Bowens, B&H # GOS2, then yes, the Godox AD200 TTL Pocket Flash, would be compatible for use with the FotodioX EZ-Pro Deep Parabolic Softbox (36-, Bowens Speed Ring) regardless of the flash's light output setting.

Q: 2. I have Norman ML600 lights, will this attach if I buy the Norman 900 speed ring version?

A: Yes, the FotodioX EZ-Pro Deep Parabolic Softbox (48", Norman 900 Speed Ring) fits the Norman ML600 light.

Q: 3. Would this work with interfit S1 units?

A: Yes this will work with a Interfit S1.

Q: 4. Can you zoom a flat-head Profoto strobe in this modifier? How narrow is the throat?

A: There is a little room for adjustment.

Q: 5. does it work with speed lights?

A: You have to get a s-type bracket for you to use it with a speedlite which cost about $20.

Q: 6. I've bough two Fotodiox soft-boxes with Elinchrom speed rings. Is it possible to separately buy additional speed rings for other brands of strobes?

A: Unfortunately, this series of softboxes has a fixed ring which cannot be swapped out for another.

Q: 7. What kind of stand should I get in order to use this?

A: The FotodioX EZ-Pro Deep Parabolic Softbox (48", Bowens Speed Ring) B&H # FOEZPDSBI48, is designed to connect to the Bowens speedring connection on your light fixture, not directly to a light stand. The only stand requirement is that it should have a higher maximum load capacity than the combined weight of your light fixture and the softbox. Estimating the weight of most monolights are approximately 6-7 lbs, and the weight of the softbox is approximately 3 lbs, you should use a stand that supports 10 lbs or more. If you are looking for recommendations, I would recommend the Kupo Baby Roller Stand (8.8'), B&H # KUKS300712, the Impact Folding Wheeled Base Stand (Black/Chrome-plated, 8.5'), B&H # IMLSPSFB8, the Impact Turtle Base C-Stand - 10.75' (Chrome), B&H # IMLSCT40M, the Manfrotto Alu Air-Cushioned Compact Stand (Black, 7.7'), B&H # MA1052BAC, or the Impact Heavy-Duty Air-Cushioned Light Stand (Black, 9.5'), B&H # IMLS96HABI, depending on your budget and/or the type of stand you are interested in purchasing.

Q: 8. Would this fit a profoto b2 head?

A: Yes.

Q: 9. Can I use a Nikon SB900 Speedlight with this softbox?

A: By adding the Godox S-Type Speedlite Bracket for Bowens B&H # GOSZ1, you may use this Fotodiox softbox with its Bowens mount. https://bhpho.to/2Fw3pj6

Q: 10. how heavy it is when it all set up with two diffuser.kindly let me know the weight without packaging

[6.45 lb] Amazing soft light.

These soft boxes come with their own carry case and are easy to setup and store in my opinion.

Build quality seems very good just keep in mind that these are masssive soft boxes so carring and moving can be a hassle

[6.45 lb] This feels well made and setup and removal are dead simple - works just like an umbrella. It gives a nicely controlled light, soft but with focus and contrast. The double diffusion allows for different qualities of light (I like using just the inner one, nice and crisp).

[6.45 lb] This review is of the FotodioX EZ-Pro Deep Parabolic
Softbox (48, Bowens Speed Ring).

It provides a very pleasing soft light at 4 to 6 feet from the subject. Removing the outer diffusion easily allows for an increase in contrast.

The build quality is good. Careful hand placement to avoid contacting the release button while pushing down with significant force is required to open and lock it in place. Small individuals may struggle at first to open it, but if you practice opening it a few times, paying attention to your hand placement, I believe most will prefer this to forcing 16 individual rods into a speedring.
