A: From what we have seen, this light emitting from this fresnel would be hard enough when used with a wood or cello cookie.

A: The case is made by SKB Cases, they are similar to Pelican brand. You can also purchase the lights without a case. The lights come in a foam cutout.

Q: 4. Is this light about the same size as an Arri 300w tungsten or closer to an Arri 650w tungten? I need to travel with it.

A: This light is similar in size to a Arri 300w.

Q: 5. What is the best solution if I want to use color gels?

A: Hi, Personally I just use the barn-doors to clip some gels on it with gaffer tape or tweezers, so I can also add diffusion on it ;o)

A: No but you can get the light kit which includes the stand and hood as well as a bulb

A: They are hard plastic components and as such, make for a lighter adapter. So far they have performed well.

A: Yes. It's works whith any E26 Edison base. I use it with four 40W incandecent lights and works great.

Q: 9. Can I use LED floods with this?

A: The light does not specifically say in its specifications it can or cannot use a screw in LED light.The fixture uses a lamp that is E26 Edison screw in bulb. It is a regular kind of screw in bulb. So technically if the led light does not need ballast or any electronics and has that all built in to the bulb you can use that fixture. Note that it has not been tested with that type of bulb.

Q: 10. will this fit in the SP-UM with a 10 or 12 reflector?

A: I bought the 12 reflector to check. The 4 socket adapter does fit inside and screws into the SP-UM fine. I have 4 Eiko 40w CFL's and all this fits inside the reflector. They all stick out way past the reflector, but not restricted from using it.. I am curious to find out if the 105w CFL's fit next to each other in this 4 socket adapter, or if the adapter sockets are not spread out enough.
