Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. The color of spigots(I mean the stud) is white or black? other sites showing the same product are listing white colored studs of the product. I want black ones.

A: The models we are currently carrying are as featured in the image, thus black is the color.

Q: 2. What's the difference between this one Noga Cine Arm DG Hold-It Arm B&H # NODG9014CA MFR # DG9014CA and this one Noga DG9038CA CineArm DG (Medium) B&H # NODG9038CA MFR # DG9038CA? They look the same!! I know one has a 3/8 instead of a 1/4 bottom. I'm using for a shogun flame..thank you guys!!

A: The DG9014 is threaded at both ends of the arm for 1/4-20 thread attachment while the DG9038CA is 1/4-20 top and 3/8-16 bottom.

Q: 3. What size are the taps on the ends?

A: Both ends are 5/8" pins 1 end has a 1/4" x 20 threaded hole the other end is 3/8" x 16

Q: 4. An separate metal washer comes with the product in a small plastic bag. What is this washer for? How is it used?

A: The Metal washer could be used with the side that does not connect to your camera. If you can't get a tight connection you could add the washer.

Q: 5. How do I attach this to, let's say, a c-stand pole? Do I need extra accessory? Thanks!

A: To attach the Noga Cine Arm DG Hold-It Arm you will need a clamp of some kind, like a crab-clamp or a super-clamp.

Q: 6. Is this good enough to hold a yolobox ultra and is this gonna fit in a manfrotto 055 tripod easy link thread?

A: The Noga Cine Arm DG Hold-It Arm has a payload capacity that is able to hold a YoloLiv YoloBox Ultra. To connect to a Manfrotto Easy Link, you would need a reducer bushing such as the Oben 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Reducer Bushing (BH #OB1039).

Q: 7. I just got this in the mail. Why is the arm greasy? It's like someone sprayed it w/ WD40.

A: Noga Cine Arm DG Hold-It Arm has bit of grease when you pick it up from the box. This is use as lubricant, I will recommend cleaning up the surface if you notice any grease after cleaning the articulated arm it will be consider as defective.

Q: 8. How long is this arm from the end of one 1/4" screw to the other? It says it is 3" long, but I don't believe that. I'm guessing it's about 7 inches.

A: This Noga arm is 3" long from end to end. Noga also offers arms in 5" 8.6" and larger if needed.

Q: 9. Is the adjustable feature like the Manfrotto 244N that has variable friction so it can be positioned exactly and then tightened?

A: Yes, the Noga can be adjusted to the exact position you'd like. The arms are a bit longer and more stable than the Manfrotto counterpart.

Q: 10. Where can I find just the red rubber grip washer attached to this product please?

A: The Red Rubber Grip Washer is not a part we have in stock, it is a Manufacture's Service Part. Feel free to email us directly at provideo@bhphoto.com and we can help guide you towards the proper place to obtain that part.

[1/4"-20 Male ] This thing is tiny and works great in a tight space. No ratcheting handle to get in the way.

[0.33 lb] Thing is heavy duty and over-built. I'd trust it to hold most anything, as a bonus you can use it in self-defense.

[1/4"-20 Male ] These are hands down the best and most affordable arms I have ever used. They are half the price of the super heavy duty ones but these are super heavy duty if you are coming from the cheaper ones. I have never had it budge on me when holding a SmallHD 702.

[1/4"-20 Male ] The Noga is an essential piece of kit. It can hold a surprising amount of weight, and lasts for years of heavy use. I'd recommend having multiple in your kit at all times.

[1/4"-20 Male ] I had ordered the large Noga Cine Arm, but it was much too heavy for the application I need it for, which is mounting my SmallHD 702 to my Canon C300 Mark II. I returned it same day and ordered this one right away. Came within a day and my return was processed right away too!

Compared with the arm that I purchased from SmallHD when I ordered my 702 (which they don't carry any longer-the arm), this arm is so solid, easy to manipulate in all directions and holds the monitor in place with no wiggling or loosening. I haven't used it in run and gun situations yet, but I can already tell it's ruggedness is going to do the job. It's heavier than what I had but it's perfect for this set up.

[0.33 lb] I had a cheaper Noga arm that would always slip and not hold my monitor if there was a small bump while handheld. This Noga arm holds my 7inch monitor and has yet to slip while running and gunning

[1/4"-20 Male ] It's more expensive than the other arms but Noga arm is the best. It can hold tighter and stronger.

[0.33 lb] Classic Noga that just works.

[1/4"-20 Male ] I have purchased other less expensive articulating arms and have had 2 of them just fall apart and break. The Nova Cine Arm is extremely well made and I haven't had a problem with it yet. I have 3 of these. They are a little spendy, but well worth every penny. I like the length and the lever to adjust it. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
