Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this lens fit my Lumix fz80

A: Based on the specifications listed for this camera on the B&H website the Lumix DC-FZ80 takes a 55mm filter. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1304874-REG/panasonic_dc_fz80k_lumix_dmc_fz80_digital_camera.html

Q: 2. I have a nikon 28-70mm lens but my question is whether this type of filter can be used on my lens? please reply

A: Hello. I am a canon user so I am not positive but yes I believe the Nikon lens you mentioned is 77mm and will be able to use this filter. If you look at the lens (usually the face near the front end) you will see a number like 67mm, 77mm etc ... if the lens reads 77mm you will be able to screw this filter on.

Q: 3. Is it made of glass ?. Can we adjust the intensity of the filter ? TIA

A: Yes and Yes. D.

Q: 4. Is this filter front threaded to add another filter ?

A: Yes, it has threads on the front.

Q: 5. Does this polarizer have threads on the front (making it possible to use stack caps)? If so, is the front diameter also 55mm? Thanks!

A: Hi Terry,Yes, the TiFFEN 55mm Circular Polarizer has 55mm inside threads in the front which allows the use of stack caps.William H.

Q: 6. fit AF-S DX NIKKOR 10-24mm?

A: Michael, Thanks for the question! If we are examining the correct lens described above, yes, that lens will accept 77mm sized filters.

Q: 7. Dose this filter fit Panasonic lumix 42.5mm?

A: The answer I gave was for the 42.5mm f1.2 lens. I'm guessing now you have the f/1.7, and yes the 37mm filter is correct.

Q: 8. One of the reviews stated that it does not cover the whole image . Just curious if anyone else noted vignetting with FX formats. I would use it with a 24-70 mm Nikon lens (sometimes I stack with a UV filter if I can't remove that quickly) - don't know if they were doing this or not).

A: The vignetting is caused by you have turned too much, you should turn back a little bit to allow both top corners to reduce the vignetting

Q: 9. I have a Nikon D3400 with a 70-300mm lens , will this fit?

A: We would need more information about the 70-300mm zoom lens on your camera. If the lens is a Nikkor lens, please note Nikon made several versions of the 70-300mm zoom lens resulting in some lenses having different filter sizes from one another.Nikon usually indicates the filter size on the barrel of the lens or on the front ring of the lens (where the lens cap would attach to).You can ask for the correct size Tiffen Circular Polarizer once you know the filter size of your particular lens.

Q: 10. Can I use this filter on a Canon 60mm macro lens with an MR-14EX ring flash? If so, what size do I need. Thanks!

A: You will instead need the 52mm size of this filter, which has front filter threads: a href= http://bhpho.to/1Jspboc target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1Jspboc/a

[Clear] I have been using B&W clear filters and decided to try the Tiffen. It works great I see no issues at all. At this point and price I do not see a need to go to the high dollar B&W.

[Aluminum] I attach this filter to help protect my Nikon 24-70mm 2.8 lens. After spending for the lens, I didn't want to leave it unprotected. There are a lot of other filters out there and some have great reviews and are very expensive. As a serious enthusiast but most definitely an amateur, this was enough for me. I cannot tell the difference with having this filter on or not, and I have a little piece of mind about protection and about cleaning. The cheap price of this filter leaves me wondering what I am missing by not getting a filter 3x the price, but this does the job for me and I can't complain.

[Glass] I bought this filter mainly as protection against dust, dirt and moisture for my Pentax 28-80 mm lens. I haven't had the filter for very long but so far it's doing the job very well. I especially like the fact that the filter is threaded on the inside so that I can keep a screw-on rubber lens hood on the lens as well. I suppose you could also stack other filters on top of it if you needed to. It seems to be well made.

[Clear] We all want to protect our expensive lenses. There are lots of good choices in filters that protect your lenses - I think the Digital Ultra Clear Filter does the job better than others I've tried.

[62 mm] My experience with UV and Haze filters has been that under certain conditions they can degrade my image quality so I wanted to try a clear filter for lens protection. This one works great. My images look the same with the filter on or off. The rim of this filter is wide enough that it is easy to put on and easy to take off so I am very satisfied with it.
