The plate is rubber-padded for non-slip attachment. The cage is designed specifically for a7 series cameras and leaves open access to all ports and controls. It provides 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded accessory mounting holes all around and also has a NATO rail integrated on top for attaching the included top handle or other NATO rail accessories.

The top handle allows you to comfortably carry the system from place to place and it also provides multiple different mounting points. It offers a cold shoe mount on top for attaching microphones or other accessories. It has ARRI-standard accessory mounts (which have safety pinholes) on the top and sides.
