A: No. Most home stereo receivers will not output 250W RMS per channel for compatibility with a speaker like the Soundsphere Q-12A. This is a loudspeaker that is made for public spaces.

Q: 6. What is the recommended wiring?

A: Wire size depends on how many amps your pushing to the speaker and the distance to the speaker. For this speaker I would recommend a 14 gauge wire (preferably shielded). You can purchase this wire (14/2) from most music shops and home improvement stores. Just ask for 14/2 stranded speaker wire some times referred to as low volt cable. [2-Way] sturdy and built like a tank, just like the arm it supports. Just be sure to wrench it in tightly so it doesn't wobble, because the arms are HEAVY! 5

[Passive] This is not a very exciting product, but it works perfectly with my OC White mic arm. It is sturdy and should outlast me. I used 10-24 screws (with washers and nuts) and drilled holes to mount it to my desk. The screws are not included, but cost pennies at the local hardware store. 5
