[2] Initially I thought this mounting box was overpriced but in looking around at other options, I found that the quality of this one is so high that it merits the cost. I've used it with a 2-gang XLR plate and was able to rout the cables neatly. Overall, an excellent product. 5

[Metal] Bought this for a stage pocket install to replace some old loose cabling. The box is very sturdy and pretty easy to install and use. The cable door is opened by pushing it down when the main top is open leaving about a 2x3 opening for cable pass-thru. It has a little velcro to hold it open when pushed 180 deg. back to the top plate. The paint is medium tan, like the FSR website says. The top is textured as a non-skid surface. The box has plenty of conduit knockouts on rear and bottom. We're very pleased with it. 5

[Metal] We use these boxes to house our Extron control panels in on our classroom lecturns. They are very easy to mount, made of durable steel with a very tough finish and best of all look great. We decided on the FRS desktop box over others of their type, because of their avalibily and construction. Best of all, they are reasonably priced over other brands. 5
