The Blackmagic Design SDI to HDMI 6G Mini Converter converts SDI in resolutions up to DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) at 24p and UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) up to 30p to HDMI. The Mini Converter's settings are controlled using the built-in switches or via USB using the control software for Max OS X or Windows computers, which can be downloaded on Blackmagic Design's website. The USB port also enables the firmware to be updated.

A: No, the Mini Converters don't have a power button. You would either need to disconnect it from the power source to turn it off, or connect the power supply to a power switch to easily turn it on and off.

Q: 5. Will this work with the HDMI 4k output from the Sony FS7? How long will the output signal travel via SDI before it breaks down?

A: Yes it will work. I have about 125ft of sdi Cable running to a switcher it works fine.

A: It will work to convert to SDI. To stream to Skype using Blackmagic gear you could use the Web Presenter instead.
