The flashlight produces 173 lumens of bright white light and can be used in spot-to-flood directional illumination mode or in candle mode, standing upright on its tailcap as an area light for a room, garage, campsite, deck, etc. Just take the head off to expose the LED and place it on the tailcap as a stand. Both on/off activation and focusing are enabled by twisting the flashlight's head.

[7 x 1.8 x 1.6"] This Maglite is excellent. I live in a very rural area in a canyon. No neighboring house lights, no sky glow, and night time outdoors can be quite dark. I keep this Maglite in the general mode, and find the mid level of light fine for general outdoor navigating on dirt roads and through timber. When I need to get a better look at some movement in the distance I go to the high power mode. Sufficient for any of my needs. I use the low or eco mode indoors when my sight distance is short. Perfect solution for all my lighting needs, indoors or outdoors. I have no need for the three other modes and have not tried them, but I assume if they work as fine as the mode I use for my needs, they too should be just as good for what they were designed for. The instructions supplied for changing modes are not complicated. All in all, a great light. 5

[7 x 1.8 x 1.6"] I bought this flashlight expressly because it requires C cells and not AAs; I generally find that AA-powered units do not shine a strong enough light for my purposes. In addition to a stronger beam, this flashlight offers the advantage of being able to vary the beam from narrow to broad with a twist of the collar. Also, it feels sturdy but is not overly heavy. 5

[0.43 lb] This flash light is a mid size between the D-cell and the AA minimag. The LED offers great light for its size. On and off are achieved by twisting the head just like the older minimag flashlight. Its not too big to fit in your pocket but it's just big enough not to loose. And the price seems very reasonable 5

[1x LED] The three actions of the default set (i.e., the flashlight can be set to perform four different sets of actions when the on/off switch is depressed) are what I need and use. Choosing one of the other sets is a bit tricky but doable. Seems to have been a good purchase. I have ordered another. 5
