The 8Sinn Safety NATO Rail 2.4 Inch2.4" 8Sinn Safety NATO Rail 2.4 Inchis a short-length NATO-standard rail that can be attached to camera cages and other camera supports. It attaches using two included 1/4"-20 screws, and it features a slotted design so that you can space out the screws as needed to match the spacing on your cage or other support. Q: 1. How much weight can this handle vertically?

A: You should avoid mounting more than a couple items on the NATO rail at once. The manufacturer doesn't specify how much weight this NATO rail can hold but it can hold a majority of accessories that are meant for the Komodo.

A: The Tilta NATO Rail Mount (Black, 0.7") is 0.7" long.

Q: 3. Does this fit the 'Smallrig NATO rail Top Handle with 15mm rod clamp' ...?

A: Yes, the Smallrig NATO rail Top Handle with 15mm rod clamp will fit the SmallRig Quick Release NATO Rail (1.6), and it would fit with other SmallRig NATO Rails, as well.

Q: 4. Does this mount onto RED Link too?

A: It should, although since this is a new item that as of this writing is not yet available in our warehouses, we have not tested the pairing.

Q: 5. Does this fit on top of the RED Outrigger for the Komodo?

A: Yes , It does. The 8Sinn NATO Rail for RED KOMODO/V-RAPTOR is compatible with KOMODO Outrigger Handle.

Q: 6. How does this mount lock onto the NATO rail? In the pictures I don't see any kind of handle or set screw to tighten it in place.

A: The 8Sinn ARRI NATO Rosette 28mm Mount would slide on to the Safety NATO Rail, and the safety pin on the rail would keep it from sliding off. This would be locked in a single position once one attaches the Arri accessory to it. It has a mechanism whereby it is tightened in place when an accessory is attached.

Q: 7. Can you adjust the nato lock tension?

A: The tension of the NATO locking mechanism is not meant to be altered, on the Tilta Left-Side NATO Rail Extension.

Q: 8. Any idea what the max load is for this nato rail? I have it on top of my camera cage and I use it with a Nato top handle.

A: Max payload is not listed by the manufacture for this product, but if you tighten the screws provided with the nato rail to the cage, holding 10+ pounds should not be an issue.

Q: 9. Is this a standard nato rail?

A: Yes, this is a standard Nato Rail.

Q: 10. Does it work on the Komodo link adapter? Now that it has been out a while.

A: Yes, The 8sinn NATO rail would connect to the 1/4 20 connection points of the RED Komodo link adapter.

[Aluminum] I just love it, bought it recently. I use it with Atomos without any problems. I saw someone had some issues with using it properly. Not always the foult is in m. holder - maybe the monitor itseld is not designed properly. So my advise is to check the m.holder with the monitor you use - before buying it. This m.holder is universal, however there are various monitors and some of them might have different mounting point depth - and this might be tricky. 5

[Aluminum] Bought this to solve an issue with our Ninja V monitors (Arri locating pin mounts won't attach at the aRRI locating pin mounting points on the monitor. Locating pin holes seem to be a bit too far from the 3/8 hole. 5

[0.075 lb] This is a well machined and unique quick-secure Rosette. All other Rosettes require a 2nd mechanical tension lever, or are set-screwed in place without adjustment capability. This rosette fixes in place by the simple action of securing your mating rosette accessory. (It pulls up an extended double rail base against the NATO rail.) That action both secures the accessory and allows for quick repositioning of the rosette along the NATO rail. It is fast and secure with a very minimal profile and can be done with one hand after the initial installation depending on the accessory. Their customer service responded directly to my pre-purchase inquiry with detailed information. (I could not tell how it worked and was asking to see why it did not require a lever like all other rosettes.) I highly recommend this product... and anything else 8Sinn makes. I am crazy-picky about these details in my Kit. This is smart tech and is well crafted. 5

[Aluminum] I needed both nato rail and also arri pin on top of my Komodo. This does both. You can put nato rail handle on it, or arri pin monitor mount on it without switching the system. The length is perfect for Komodo. 5
