A: No, the Alexa Classic and Alexa Plus use a Fisher 3-pin RS port. This cable has two 7-pin LEMO type connectors.

Its a little disappointing that they specify this unit as being engineered for one or two cameras in particular. Would this also be usable with a DSLR like the Canon 5Dmk3 or a small video camera like the Canon XC-10? Or are the higher quality components advantages only realized with the Alexa or a RED unit? A: It was designed withe ALEXA in mind: Line Out: 5-pin balanced output at +4 dBu.But there is no reason it could not be used with other cameras: Mic Out: 3.5 mm unbalanced auxiliary stereo output

[2-pin LEMO-type] As Arri does not market an audio input solution for the Alexa MINI, I have found this to be the best on the market. It was also recommended by a tech colleague from Panavision. 5

[7-pin LEMO] This is a very nice compact fit unit that works great with the Arri Mini LF when using an onboard shot gun microphone or a wireless receiver onboard the camera rig. Simple and easy to work. 5

[7-pin LEMO] Must have if you are a Nucleus-M and RED Komodo owner. It is compatible with the RED Outrigger handle and grants the Outrigger smart pins a pass-through connection. This is good for CamOps to trigger record via handle or for 1st ACs to trigger record via the Nucleus-M remote focus wheel depending what your shooting setup is (handheld, dolly, gimbal, steadicam, etc). There is also no latency on the trigger record in my experience unlike older RED camera models; my Nucleus-M trigger recording is instantaneous. 5
