A: Unfortunately the answer is no and that is because this is meant for only a passive connection between the lens and the matte box. In other words, the matte box must be supported by rods while using this. The interface between the lens and the matte box cannot be trusted to hold the matte box on the lens.

A: We're afraid not. This is compatible with the MB-450 Series Matte Box only.

A: This is an adapter ring that uses 4.53 /115mm filters such as the Schneider 68-040615 0.6 Neutral Density Filter.

A: Not that we are aware of. This product is only listed as compatible with the MB-450 Series Matte Box.

A: Yes it does. Lenses like the Fujinon ZK19-90mm T2.9 Cabrio Premier Lens (PL Mount), B&H # FUZK47X19, have a 114mm front diameter, which is the kind of attachment this adapter provides.

A: Schneider 80SSLR-Series 9 Adapter Ring fits on series 9 lenses. They are a proprietary mount. Unfortunately the diameter of the size is not listed, but it will only work with series 9 lenses.

Q: 8. There is no such thing as a "series 9 lens." Series 9 is a filter size. They make several different versions of this adapter with different part numbers. The description says: "The SSLR slips on the outside circumference of the lens barrel and is firmly secured by an internal screw." My question is: what size lens barrel?

A: The Schneider 80SSLR-Series 9 Adapter Ring (B&H# SCAR80SSLRS9) combines with a variety of different interchangeable locking rings so that the SSLR Adapter can fit different diameters of lens barrels. Of course, that does mean that it is limited to fitting lens diameters of less than 4.5" (114mm).

Replacing retaining rings on vintage equipment can give you nervous fits. Those aren't the "fits" you're hoping for when you're working to keep a vintage piece of gear working. Happily, this ring was the precise fitting replacement I was hoping for when I ordered it. Another piece of vintage gear got a new lease on life because of it. And classic lenses look like nothing else. That's why we keep them going. Thanks, B&H for another easy solution. 5

Regarding my review called too many model; well, I can definitely say that I didn't have the right step down ring for my kit. Chrosziel did contact me, and offered me an excellent and AWESOME service, by looking into it with me and they helped me find the right step down ring I needed to fit my system + they did exchange mine for the new one !! So I'm really pleased, and I'm giving it 5 stars now, cause I know it was my mistake, and not a product default; and also because I really had a GREAT services from Chrosziel. 5

I purchased the 203 version of this follow focus (one generation back) secondhand and immediately I noticed the modern design and solid quality. The thing that sets a professional follow focus apart from the lesser expensive versions is the machining tolerances. Chrosziel manufactures this unit with very low tolerances meaning there are no gaps or wiggle room where there shouldn't be. The gearing mechanism is smooth and performs as expected. The marking discs click into place with a satisfying snap. The knob handle is large enough to firmly grab onto but not overbearingly large. It has a slim profile and fits well into cases etc. Don't skimp on getting a cheap follow focus, it's an integral part of what makes a movie, focus! 5
