The Chrosziel MagNum Mini Kit CDM-100S Motorprovides single-channel focus control and has a power booster that ensures enhanced motor drive. The MagNum Mini Receiver has a compact design suited for gimbal, handheld, drone, and Steadicam applications, yet it still has the punch to provide fast and accurate adjustments. It can be controlled by the optional MN-100T, MN-150T, or MN-200T MagNum Transmitter Hand Unit from up to 328' away. Together the receiver and hand unit are compatible with most major digital lens motors, including the Chrosziel CDM-100S digital motor.

Q: 2. Is there a baseplate and rods that come with this? If not, which ones would work for this matte box with the USA mini?

A: This product does not include a baseplate or rods, however we do have a nice assortment of options to choose from. The Pyro AV URSA Mini Kit (B&H #PY0623) and Wooden Camera Blackmagic URSA Mini Unified Accessory Kit (B&H #WO226300) are nice solutions that offer a baseplate, rods and even a top handle. Or you could look at the Shoulder-Mount Kit for the URSA Mini (B&H #BLURSAMSK) and adding some 15mm rods to it (B&H #IKELE15R12).

Q: 3. Does this have the 6pin Molex connector to plug directly into the MOVI FIZ port or the Lemo connector shown? When I go to Chrosziel's website it shows this model number CDM-100M having the Molex connector.

A: At this time, the Chrosziel motor is not officially supported by FREEFLY. FREEFLY is working on an update that will support it. Look for an announcement soon.

Q: 4. Are you able to use an umbrella reflector with this mounted on a B10 ?

A: According to Heden Engineering, yes, you can use this cable on the Heden Carat system.

Q: 8. What is the diameter of the face? 16 ? I wish the specs for Profoto listings were more informative -- looking for actual dimensions so I can choose mods that fit in my travel case (I know this Magnum won't fit in my pelican, but just a general compaint ;)

A: The face diameter is 13.5 inches and is 10.5 inches high.

Q: 9. Does this have similar torque to the Nucleaus Nano 2 motor?

A: The PDMOVIE MOTOR SMART Mini Intelligent Focus Motor has 0.7 Nm of torque, whereas the Tilta Nucleus Nano II has 0.8 Nm of torque.

[4.2 oz / 120 g] Thats the review, LOL. Don't mess with the RedRock Micro motors unless you like to have endless problems. The next cheapest option for the Movi Pro with use on the Movi controller is the Chrosziel. Most pros use the Heden's but this works just fine, plug it in and set to Chrosziel in Movi controller FIZ setup and boom ready to go. 5

[4.2 oz / 120 g] Haven’t used it a ton yet. But compared it to the Teradek motor, and the Heden MV26 (paired with a It’s definiteky quieter and smaller - and about half the weight of the Teradek, which was already pretty light. I dig the ingenious rod clamp that adapts to either 15 or 19mm internally without the need for an adapter that you could lose. I am using it with my Chrosziel Magnum 200. Has no problem pulling stiffer cinema lenses. The only potential negative is that the cable that runs to the receiver is fixed. So while that reduces weight with the reduced connector, if the cable gets damaged, your motor is out of commission until the motor cable is repaired (taking the whole motor out of use). I intend on having a backup motor. Given that Chrosziels system is compatible with other brands of motors (unlike the Teradek), should be easy to find one to swap in. 5

[4.2 oz / 120 g] No, it doesn’t increase the power output of your flash. Instead, it tightens the light beam, so more light hits the target, and it does this very well. During a recent sunset shoot, the Profoto A2 was maxed out without a reflector. After adding the Magnum reflector, it worked at level 7, dramatically improving the images and recharge time. However, be aware of the light falloff—it's much more dramatic than with a strobe without a reflector. 5

[4.2 oz / 120 g] Small and very lightweight. Easy to calibrate, but sometimes have to remove battery to re-calibrate. The thin controller that goes with is brilliant. And on/off switch would help. It’s tricky to figure out to push the battery to the side. 5

[4.2 oz / 120 g] Chrosziel really stands for German quality and costumer service. I had the chance to test this and I can say it's a very strong motor, ideal for crash zooms but also for slow, smooth zooms on cine lenses! It also has a Photolens-Mode but for that it raises the minimum zoom speed. Also you dont need to own a FX6 or any of the other supported Sony cams. Just plug your LANC-Controller into the motor and you can use it with any camera. The Chrosziel Team also was very helpful with any questions I would have and offered great and fast costumer service which is something I value a lot! 5

[4.2 oz / 120 g] Works Perfect! It is my First follow focus and it is very simply to use. Very good service and contact with sellers. Fo every questions i have fast feedback. Magnum its automatic calibrate and fast. He has a several options preset. It is also good work with hard cinema lenses and ring for lens. I recommend this product to professional work. In our TV also use this systems. 5
