Q: 1. Would it work on a Nikon z 7ii with a FTZ converter?

A: Yes. Please review the following item in order to use the following lens and camera combo. Nikon FTZ II Mount Adapter BH #NIFTZ2 • MFR #4264 https://bhpho.to/3eaneDU

Q: 2. Is this lens compatible with Nikon D800? I don't see this camera listed under Compatibility but D800E is listed.

A: Yes, the Nikon AF-S Fisheye NIKKOR 8-15mm f/3.5-4.5E ED Lens is compatible on the Nikon D800.

Q: 3. Will this lens work with the Z9 and FTZ2 adapter?

A: Yes Nikon AF-S Fisheye NIKKOR 8-15mm f/3.5-4.5E ED Lens is compatible on the Nikon Z9 with FTZ2 adapter.

Q: 4. I was wondering if this lens could be used on the Nikon D500 camera which I know is a DX format camera. I do want to get a fisheye lens for this camera and I do like that it's a zoom lens. which is a first for a fisheye lens. Thank You!

A: Here's a summary, so isn't going to give the full circular effect with a DX camera. At 8mm, makes a circular image with black sides covering 180 in every direction on FX.At 8mm, fills part of the DX frame with black corners. At 11mm (the dash on the zoom ring), fills the entire DX frame with a 180 diagonal view.At 15mm, fills the entire FX frame with a 175 diagonal view.

Q: 5. can be use with d3400?

A: Yes it can... but based on the choice of DSLR you seem like a beginner photographer. This lens might be a bit of a stretch- I would also consider lenses like the New DX 10-20. Obviously, if you have a few years experience with a Nikon DSLR and want to continue with photography and upgrade to full frame at some point or another down the road, then this might be a wise investment. But given the entry level which you seem to be at based on your camera body, this might be a bit of a overly-hasty investment. Also, on a cropped body, it won't be as wide a lens, defeating part of the reason to own it. It will be equivalent to a 12-23, so you will not be receiving the extra width of the lens compared to a 10-20. Furthermore, at 8mm, this lens is a circular fisheye on full frame, but will provide a sort of odd oval shaped frame on your ASP-C sensor. Not to mention- one of the most notable reasons- it doesn't accept filters, which means that you won't be able to protect the front of the lens from rookie mistakes such as bumping into objects- which may lead to you scratching the lens which will lower the image quality and require a repair. Thus, for these reasons, its probably not worth your while just yet.

Q: 6. Made In Japan ?

A: Its made in Thailand.

Q: 7. what is in the box?

A: Front and rear lens caps and lens hood. Note, the hood and front cap are special for this lens. My US warranty lens did come with a soft pouch. Under the overview tab at the right there is a complete listing of what you get.

Q: 8. How does this lens work on the D7500?

A: The Nikon AF-S Fisheye NIKKOR 8-15mm f/3.5-4.5E ED Lens will mount to the Nikon D7500 because they are both F-Mount products. However, the lens is full frame whereas the body is aps-c. This will cause the focal length of the lens to "punch in" giving the image the appearance of a longer focal length.

Q: 9. What is included in the package of Nikon 8-15mm F/3.5-4.5 ?

A: Contents of the package: lens, rear lens cap, lens hood(which locks in place and must be on the lens to install the front lens cap), front lens cap, cloth carry bag and owners pamphlet.

Q: 10. Made in where?

A: Thailand and I am very happy with the lens.

[Foam] Just received my Nikon 8-15mm Fisheye lens. Haven't used it a lot yet.
The 8mm circular photo is cool. I do not think this will be an everyday lens, but I know it will be a lot of fun.

[4 x 4 x 1.7"] I bought this lens primarily to shoot marine life in an underwater housing. I have seen results from other underwater photographers, and the wide angle macro images are stunning. Can't wait to get it underwater in the Maldives this fall.

[4 x 4 x 1.7"] If you want to add an artistic edge to your photographs, or your are an artist wanting to move to photography for another form of artistic expression, this lens should lens receive some serious consideration. Though most of my work is photographing action with a Nikon 70mm to 200m 2.8 FL ED, I use this lens to challenging my self. I agree with the other reviews as to the technical aspects, sharp (outstanding image quality) and fast (great in low light) . Also I recommend one of the lens cases offered because lens cover is HUGE! and lens body is not a metal body. It has been in regular use since 4/5/2023. One challenge is keeping your feet out of the picture. I used it on a D500. My up loaded images have the blue ring edge as I do not have soft wear to remove it yet. Thus you can see and evaluate it for your self. The more I use it the more the artistic potential is realized. B and H did their usual excellent job on shipping, I had it in my hands in three days.
ENJOY!!

[Foam] I am a great lover of wide angle lense. i just love this ones ability to go from round to rectangle. I sometimes use it for closeups it gives a whole new perspective on the object and the world around you.

[Foam] I tested my many ultrawide lenses and was disappointed at how soft most of them were. I was looking for a lens that was good for underwater photography and milky way images. I was most disappointed with the Tokina 10-17 which is in every underwater photographers kit. I have two copies of that lens and both are pretty disappointing. This Nikon is an incredible lens, easily the best fisheye I have owned (I have had the old manual 16mm Nikkor, the 10.5 Nikkor, Tokina 10-17, Sea and Sea 12mm and Sigma 4.5)

[Foam] This thing is just extraordinary!

The first major photo I took with this lens was a bolt of lightning that hit near by. It totally distorted the plasma bolts. WOW!

A lens of this type has it's applications for sure. Yet when it does it, it does it really really well...

Money well spent.
