This 35mm f/1.7 lens is designed for APS-C-format Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless cameras and provides a 52.5mm equivalent focal length.

Bright f/1.7 maximum aperture benefits working in low-light conditions and also affords greater control over depth of field.

One super-low dispersion element is used to reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing for increased clarity and color accuracy.

An HD anti-reflection coating has been applied in order to suppress ghosting and flare for increased contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.

Nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

Manual focus design along with a manual aperture ring offer precise control over both focus and exposure, and the aperture ring has been de-clicked for smooth, silent f/stop changes to suit filmmaking applications.

All-metal construction is durable and depth of field and focus distance scales have been engraved on the lens barrel for pre-focusing needs.

[49 mm (Front)] Optics very good, mechanics quite good, fit to my Fuji X-T3 camera is good also but maybe slightly tight. It's less tight on my X-E1 but this is the same with all my Opteka and Meike lenses.
Images have punchy contrast and sharpness, with little if any chromatic aberrations. Hard to ask for more at this price and with these spherical optics. It is $20 more than the Meike and I think it is worth it for the image quality. Admittedly, the differences are slight.

Sharpness across the frame can be obtained at F5.6 to F8. Center sharpness is very good wide open. Bokeh is pleasant.

[0.715 lb] I now own 3 opteka lenses. I think they are a great value. So don't be lazy. Learn to use a manual lense and save a lot of cash.

[49 mm (Front)] I really like this lens!
I had a 7artisans 50mm F1.8, but this Opteka 50mm F2 lens is better.
I got it in Fuji X-mount. It fits a little bit tightly on my X-T3. but almost loosely on my X-E1 (still a good fit). I have another Opteka lens and also a Meike lens, and they both fit this same way, so it's normal.
Focus ring and aperture ring turn smoothly through their ranges. Aperture ring has no click-stops but I can live with this. Infinity focus is before the infinity marking on the focus ring, but that's OK with me.
Center sharpness is very good F2-F5.6, but diffraction softens this beginning at F8.
For good sharpness across the APS-C frame you really need to stop it down to F5.6 - F8, but for most of what I do, I don't really need sharpness across the frame.
It delivers very good contrast and presence (hard to define this but it's a good thing).
Highly recommended!

[49 mm (Front)] It’s a manual X Mount lens with endless possibilities. The clarity is unreal and it’s perfect for my daily shooting. It’s made VERY well, all metal casing. The price is low because it’s a manual lens no autofocus or anything, not because it’s low quality. I’m in love, plan on picking a few more lenses from Opteka for my Fugi.
