The Warm Audio WA273-EQ Dual-Channel Preamp & EQis a dual-channel, Class-A microphone preamp and equalizer designed to provide up to 80 dB of gain and 3-band EQ for engineers, producers, musicians, and vocalists in mobile-recording rigs and home, project, and commercial studios. It features custom Carnhill transformers and is wired and assembled by hand to deliver the sound and functionality of classic British '73-style preamps.

Its inputs include balanced XLR and 1/4" TRS jacks and two front-panel 1/4" TS instrument inputs. Input impedance, polarity, ground lift, and phantom power are switchable. Connect an outboard compressor or equalizer via the 1/4" TS insert send and return jacks. Balanced XLR and 1/4" outputs are fed by output level controls and allow compatibility with most audio interfaces and mixing consoles. The selectable high-pass filter can be set to 50 Hz, 80 Hz, 160 Hz, or 300 Hz for management of unruly bass frequencies.

The inductor-based EQ boasts selectable frequencies and Blore Edwards dual-concentric potentiometers. The WA273-EQ is rack-mountable and occupies 2 RU.

[19.25 lb] This EQ has a lot of character and you will hear it very quickly even with very small adjustments. I've been using it very successfully on vocals along with the dbx560A compressor. Not a subtle, surgical, EQ. It definitely adds harmonic richness.

[19.25 lb] Pros: Clear Sound,Easy To Use We replace our EQ for our bands mains with this one. It sounds great and is easy to use! I would definitely recommend this DBX EQ!!!

[16 lb / 7.3 kg] I have a small home studio with two sets of rack units and this 215s graphic EQ by DBX is very clean sounding and makes my job easier.

[48 V] I use the equalizer almost on a daily basis. The matching is superb and easily transforms into top quality sound. It's design, knobs and general feel is excellent. The B&H technical specs and description are accurate and complete. There is no aspect to be improved; it is a sturdy equipment.

[2] I purchased the dbx 231s primarily to enhance my experience playing 78 rpm records. Even with a proper turntable, cartridge and stylus, the issue that remains is the fact that 78s were produced with a variety of equalization curves (that's plural!). A current standard phono preamp with RIAA equalization cannot properly reproduce the 78 recordings. There are a number of off the shelf devices designed to solve this problem, ranging from quite inexpensive (and useless!) to astronomically pricey and not much in between. Following up on some thoughtful advice and some of my own getting into the weeds on this, I'm finding that the graphic equalizer is a satisfying solution.

[19.25 lb] I'm a jazz guitarist playing an 8-string classical guitar that goes higher and lower than a regular guitar. It has a K & K pickup and I my amp is a JBL EON powered speaker, which, for this instrument sounds better than any jazz guitar amp. I have used the Zoom A-3 preamp as well as an L.R. Baggs Venue DI. They are both very good but I'd say the Grace Alix is the best I've found. It has great features you can read about but I must say that the sound of my guitar with the EQ set flat is strong, clear and simply amazing! It's very well thought out. Worth the price.

[Up to 80 dB] This unit sounds amazing, I use it on vocals and set the EQ just enough to add some color on the highs. But this unit is definitely staying in the studio.

[48 V] I have this as the sound processor for my kitchen system of JBL subwoofer and 2 JBL active monitors. I use it regularly and have had zero issues with its operation since putting it in service April 2017, now September 2022. This is not a critical listening area but it gets a lot of use. I detect no added noise. All controls work like new. I also have an older 215s and it too works just fine after years of service.
