The ME 2-II lavalier microphone features a forgiving omnidirectional pickup pattern for consistently present speech, even when the talent's head is turned away from the mic.

The lav plugs into the locking 3.5mm connection on the compact SK 100 G4 bodypack transmitter. The adjustable input sensitivity on the transmitter accommodates mic levels ranging from booming voices to quiet speech, and even line-level audio.

The rugged, all-metal transmitter features a programmable mute function and can be locked out to prevent accidental changes during a performance. A backlit LCD displays essential information and provides fast menu access. The transmitter syncs to the receiver via infrared with a quick press on the Sync button.

The SK 100 G4 is powered via two AA batteries or a rechargeable BA 2015 Accupack battery (available separately). Side contacts allow for recharging the Accupack without removing it from the transmitter—requires the L 2015 quick-charging unit (available separately).

The robust, metal EM 100 receiver offers a high-contrast, black and white LCD. The display uses a streamlined menu system with a dedicated Escape button for quick menu navigation and shows battery status of the associated transmitter.

The system features 20 fixed frequency banks with up to 12 compatible frequency presets and 1 user bank with up to 12 user-programmable frequencies.

To prevent interference, the EM 100 receiver's true-diversity reception compares incoming signals on two independent receiver circuits to ensure optimal RF quality. To ensure crystal clear audio, Sennheiser's proprietary HDX compander technology maximizes the microphone's signal-to-noise ratio, while avoiding RF noise.

The built-in equalizer enables you to change the frequency response of the output signal; you can reduce the bass range and boost the treble range. The receiver also offers an adjustable output level range of 48 dB to match the audio input of your mixing board or PA system. Musicians will appreciate the built-in guitar tuner.

The back panel houses a balanced XLR output as well as an unbalanced 1/4" output. A kit is included for rackmount installation. The unit comes with a universal power supply and EU, US, UK, Korea, Australia, and China adapters.

To simplify and speed up your workflow, two RJ10 data networking ports allow you to daisy-chain up to 12 receivers and quickly perform a frequency setup for the entire multi-channel system via the Easy Setup function.

If you assign the frequencies manually, you can expand the setup to accommodate a maximum of 20 receivers. An RJ10 cable is included.

The detachable antennas with BNC sockets allow you to create a larger system using up to four EM 100 receivers connected to a single pair of remote antennas. This setup requires the ASA 214 active antenna splitter (available separately).

Adding a pair of A 1031-U omnidirectional antennas or a pair of A 2003 UHF directional antennas increases the range of your system and offers increased protection against interference.

Sennheiser offers a variety of lavalier, headset, and handheld microphone options to adapt your EW system as your needs evolve.

  • The lightweight ME 3-II headset mic provides exceptional clarity in spoken-word applications.
  • The SKM 100 handheld transmitter is available with three different mic capsule options for presenters and performers who prefer the flexibility of a handheld microphone.
  • The Ci 1 instrument cable lets you connect the bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the speaker feel the mic being switched to mute or is it a soft touch switch?

A: The physical mute button is located on the top edge of the transmitter ad can eaily be felt by the user.

Q: 2. which frequency set is better? and what are the applications of each: A, A1, G?

A: In general, all of the frequency ranges offered for the Sennheiser EW 100 G4-ME2 Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System can be considered equal. One becomes better than the others when assessing factors such as location and other wireless systems existing and operating in the same environment. For instance, some cities have more open channels on a specific range than others. If this system is being integrated into a scenario with other wireless microphones, the existing frequency ranges of those microphones should also be taken into consideration when choosing a frequency for the Sennheiser. This system has 1,680 potential frequencies on each range and the ability to scan for the cleanest channel based on location, so it is hard to go wrong with any range.

Q: 3. What rechargeable battery pack does this take?

A: The transmitter uses the Sennheiser BA2015G2 battery pack and L2015G2 charging station. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/324393-REG/Sennheiser_BA2015G2_BA_2015G2_Rechargeable_Battery.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1367658-REG/sennheiser_k2015_charging_station_with.html

Q: 4. Should I get a different frequency if want to get two?

A: That is not necessary. The bodypack transmitter provides up to 8 hours of operation on two AA batteries, with a fixed 30mW RF power output and a transmission range up to 330'. Up to 12 wireless mics can operate simultaneously in the same space, with the receivers linked together for fast, multi-channel frequency setup. Fast Multi-Channel Setup for Expanded System To simplify and speed up your workflow, two RJ10 data networking ports allow you to daisy-chain up to 12 receivers and quickly perform a frequency setup for the entire multi-channel system via the Easy Setup function. If you assign the frequencies manually, you can expand the setup to accommodate a maximum of 20 receivers. An RJ10 cable is included.

Q: 5. can you shiping in india ?

A: Sennheiser does not allow us to ship this internationally. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Q: 6. Can you use this receiver with multiple wireless microphones at the same time with each independent frequency? Like using a lavalier and a wireless microphone at the same time.

A: No. This receiver is a single channel so therefore only allows reception of one transmitter at a time.

Q: 7. How many clip-on mics(ME2-II Lavalier) can be used at one time with this receiver?

A: This combo kit allows for one mic to be used: either the handheld transmitter or the lavalier mic with the belt pack tranmitter. Additional lavalier microphones would need a full wireless system, such as the Sennheiser EW 100 G4-ME2 Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System (A1: 470 to 516 MHz), BH #SEEW100G4MA1.

Q: 8. can you add more receivers than two?

A: Yes you can. When adding additional receivers, make sure they are all on the same band and then just tune all receivers to the same frequency and it will work perfectly.

Q: 9. in terms of heat dissipation, is it safe to operate this inside a K-Tek Stingray audio bag for IFB?

A: Yes it is safe to operate the Sennheiser SR IEM G4 Stereo Transmitter inside of an audio bag for IFB.

Q: 10. Will these potentially interfere with lavaliers that have already been paired on a film set? I'd like to use these as IFBs.

A: Yes, the Sennheiser ew IEM G4-Twin Wireless Monitor System Kit (A1: 470 to 516 MHz) can be used on a film set where wireless microphones are already being used. As long as the 470 to 516 MHz frequency band will work in your area and does not already have a large number of wireless mics operating on the same band, there should not be any problems. The IEM G4 system offers 1,680 receiving frequencies,

[1680] I've been using these mics for years and they have always been reliable. This system works great and gives me additional confidence in range and it's very easy to use. In addition to this combo system I bought 2 of the lavalier only systems and all 3 have been a great improvement over my earlier mics.

[5.75 lb] Our unit arrived quickly and on time from B&H. This unit is in the early stages of its use, but so far we have been impressed with its quality, functions and sound. We have multiple G3 units, but this G4 has better quality and range.
We use this in a large 100+ yr old Church, even with an outdated sound system. I can only imagine how impressive this would be with an updated sound system.
I would recommend this unit for those not feeling certain about what to purchase, and I would recommend purchasing it from B&H. Their service has always been Awesome.
Thank You
