[Fabric] I use this with a small Genaray for Zoom calls and it works great.

[Yes] he stand extends to 21-1/2 inches, not 18 inches. The baseplate is heavy and measures 7 inches square. The screw mounted under the baseplate is countersunk so the plate lies flat on the surface. The base plate mounting screw thread is 1/4-20, and the shaft is long enough to securely engage the extendable pole without any wobble. The baby pin is configured with a 1/4-20 screw thread. The extension moves smoothly within its two sections and the locks hold the extension securely without having to apply too much pressure on the locking mechanism.


I have added a flat regular weight plate of 1-1/4 pounds to the rig to hold the stand down more securely. You can further secure the stand with other weight devices, but the weight plates work best because they don't slide off as you move the stand.


This configuration is more versatile than a clamp stand because it requires no minimum overhang on the table for the clamping mechanism to grab hold on the edge of the table. And, it can be moved around the surface of the table as needed to cast the right shadows for your shoot.


Both the mounting screw on the base plate and the mounting stud on the baby pin were shipped with thread protection. I use wing nuts on all my threaded studs for more permanent protection.



My only suggestion would have been to enlarge the base plate mounting screw to 3/16- 16.



I have noted that this can also be used as floor stand, but i have not purchased it for that purpose, as i have more sturdy floor stands to hold proper lighting fixtures that are heavier, such as Arri's and other larger LED fixtures.


All in all, a very satisfying purchase for holding light weight light fixture , such as on-camera LEDs for shooting smaller objects.

[3.64 lb] I do event videos, wedding birthday parties musical shows. I would a little skeptical because of the $ price but the Tripod Dolly A was exactly what I needed. I was glad I bought two dollys.

[3.64 lb] If you like changing bulbs that last 15 min. these are the babies for you. I purchased six bulbs and burned out three in 10 to 15 min. I'm extremely careful with bulbs. I wear cotton gloves and have sturdy stands. By the way, low star ratings never get posted. B&H did make good. Excellent service and that I am not joking about.

[3.64 lb] Using this tripod dolly was a useful solution for us for a couple reasons - it added stability to an inexpensive tripod and also gave our set-up easier mobility, even on some carpets. Using a heavier cam (Canon XHA1 with wide angle attachment), the tripod dolly gives us a little more feeling of security moving the cam around in a room and between rooms. We haven't shot footage while rolling on this tripod dolly yet, so I cannot report on that.

[3.64 lb] WORKS VERY WELL. EASY TO USE AN D CONTINUALLY VARIABLE HEIGHT. THE BIG DIFERENCE IS THAT THIS HAS A HEVIER SQUARE SOLID BASE PLATE WHICH CAN'T MLOVED BY AN ACCIDENTAL TOUCH.

[3.64 lb] I received the dollies right before a big shoot of a high school reunion. They were very simple to set up and we were able to get some rolling shots of the graduating class of 1971. I believe this product was well worth the money paid. The only down fall, if there is one at all, is that the wheels need to be a little bigger. While we were on hard flooring, I think rolling them on carpet will be a little more challanging. And did I mention they come with their own carrying case. Nice touch.

[1] This tabletop light stand is robustly built and offers a solid support for lights in a small space such as a desktop. I use it with a ring light for Zoom meetings and the footprint is small to avoid taking up too much desk space.
