Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a separate sub-woofer for the RP701 Piano?

A: There is no subwoofer that is made for direct compatibility with the Roland RP701. You can connect one of the headphone outputs to a speaker or PA system that has compatibility with a subwoofer, if you need to do that.

Q: 2. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE KDP 120 AND THE KDP 75 BESIDES PRICE?

A: The KDP 120 has louder, bigger speakers and "tripple sensor key detection" "The accurate 3-sensor technology provides a smooth, natural, and highly responsive piano-playing experience. The added third sensor improves responsiveness when playing the same key repeatedly. Kawai’s action technology also monitors the speed at which each key is lifted, influencing the release character of piano sounds and providing a greater range of expression between staccato and legato playing."

Q: 3. Can you record from it to a computer via the usb port? What are your options for recording from it?

A: Yes. By using a MIDI cable to connect devices that have MIDI connectors, you can create an ensemble in which a single MIDI keyboard can play multiple instruments, or change settings automatically as the song progresses. MIDI OUT connector MIDI messages are transmitted from these connectors to external MIDI devices. The RD-88’s MIDI OUT connectors are used for sending the performance data of the controller section 1 x USB Type-B (Computer Transfer, MIDI)

Q: 4. Can the FP30X be tuned to match another instrument? Friends have a Roland piano with that cabability.

A: Yes, the Roland FP-30X Portable Digital Piano can be tuned up or down to match another instrument.

Q: 5. Does this come with the pedals as well?

A: This digital piano comes with the stand and 3 pedals (damper, soft, sostenuto,) as pictured.

Q: 6. Is this stool adjustable for a five year old?

A: The Casio ARBENCH is a foldable bench, however not height adjustable. The bench area measures 25 x 12 and stands approximately 24 in height.

Q: 7. Does this item require assembly?

A: Yes, assembly of the On-Stage KB8802B Keyboard & Piano Bench is required. Assembly instructions for this model can be found here: https://bit.ly/3GUbspz

Q: 8. What is the difference with the previous model YDP-164?

A: While many of the basic features are the same, there are a few differences between the Yamaha ARIUS YDP-165 88-Key Console Digital Piano with Bench and the previous model, the Yamaha YDP-164 88-Key Console Digital Piano with Bench, including some updated features. One of the new features on the YDP-165 is a Layer mode which allows two different instruments such as an acoustic piano and a string ensemble to be played together for a more complex sound. The YDP-164 does not offer this feature. For presets, the YDP-165 has 10 demo songs, 50 classic songs, and 303 lesson songs while the YDP-164 has 10 demo songs and 50 classics, but no lesson songs. Both pianos can record one song at a time with two tracks, but the data capacity differs. The YDP-165 can record approximately 150 KB per song and the YDP-164 can record approximately 100 KB per song (approximately 11,000 notes). The YDP-165 also has a built-in metronome and tuner.

Q: 9. Are the keys weighted?

A: Yes, the Roland RP701 88-Key Classic Digital Piano does have weighted keys with adjustable touch sensitivity to customize the feel.

Q: 10. The text says it "puts the keyboard at the perfect height." What exactly is this height? From the floor to the top surface of the white keys?

A: The tier height is 26.06"

[20 W] While the Yamaha keys do feel more like grand piano keys, this keyboard SOUNDS better than the Yamaha 143. recommended.

[2x MIDI] Did a lot of research into what to get for my first proper digital piano, and so far very happy with going with the PX-S3100. Was considering the FP30X as the biggest competitor, along with the P125, DGX670B, and ES120. But for the price ($750) and all the extra sounds, I'm happy I went with the PX-S3100. Build quality feels solid, it feels and sounds like an analog piano. Also honestly part of the reason I went with it was that it just looks a whole lot nicer than the competition. And it's noticeably smaller and lighter than some of the competition too (looking at you DGX670B). If you're dead set on the most similar experience to an analog piano than the FP30X is probably want you want. But after playing it, I think there's a reason there only seems to be a single guy who is complaining so much about the key feel while everyone else considers itself perfectly fine.

So if you're looking for a really impressive beginner/intermediate digital piano for under $800, this is really what you want and I'm glad I went with it.

[2x 20 W] I needed a light weight digital piano with 88 weighted keys, I can't think of any other keyboard that has such great action with such light weight! Add on top of that the amazing sounds this keyboard has!
Great service from B&H also!

[20 W] I splurged for the stunning red version of the PX-S1000 and initially purchased one of those less expensive portable X stands with the thought that I could easily move it around the house or even bring it somewhere.

Not the right move. I'm 6'1 and while sitting, positioning my legs in a way where I could reach the pedal was very awkward and I'd keep hitting my legs against the stand making the piano wobble a bit. The X stand was also large compared to the piano (the PX-S1000 is definitely smaller front-to-back than other pianos) so the rubber ends of the stand were sticking out from the front and back of the piano.

Also the piano is still heavy and I don't see myself ever moving it from it's place in my apartment so I returned the X stand and splurged for this stand instead.

Best decision I could've made. The stand is super-stable, has plenty of room for your legs, and is really aesthetically pleasing, even with the red/black contrast. It fits the dimensions of the piano perfectly and it is still easy to unscrew the stand and piano so each can be moved around the house easily.

Stop hesitating and just pull the trigger!

[89.55 lb] Beautiful sound. Beautiful action. Beautiful look. Stylish and sturdy as quality furniture should, while portable when needed. The PriviaGrd BN sound is my favorite - so expressive. We visited the Bechstein center in Berlin and were awed by the sound of their acoustic pianos, and decided to purchase this Casio model, which was on display there, when we came home. Very happy with the purchase.

[20 W] The keys and action feel great, the piano sounds are realistic, and the keyboard looks better in person. Casio has come a long way with digital pianos and this a real professional grade instrument. Unless you're playing the most technical top level classical music, this will cover all your needs.
