The Kino Flo FreeStyle 31 LED DMX Systemfrom Kino Flo FreeStyle 31 LED DMX Systemis an LED lamp head that is part of a system or kit that includes the required Select 150 LED DMX Controller. The fixture measures 40.5 x 10.5 x 3.5" w/ 6.5" Barndoors and weighs 15 lb - light enough to hand hold. The fixture comes with a 90-degree removable louver (grid). In fact, the LED panel can also be removed from its housing for mounting options. The fixture runs on 100 to 240 VAC current through its optional controller.

The FreeStyle 31 requires a head cable and controller (which are available separately) for use. The controller offers an extensive 6-channel array of control features and use options. It has 2 menus for color and a "White Menu" for Dimming, Kelvin Temperature and Green/Magenta adjustments. Using one of the color menus expands the Kelvin range from a warm 2500 to an ice-blue 9900K. The second color menu allows you to work with RGB, a real convenience when employing color wheels or RGB presets. The fourth channel (named the Gel channel) has presets for over 100 well-known temperature-modifying gels including blue/green screen, sodium vapor and mercury vapor.

A fifth channel allows for Hue adjustments along a 360-degree range like a color wheel, while the 6th Saturation channel controls the intensity of the chosen color. The required controller has onboard DMX for making adjustments remotely from a console and also is compatible with Lumen Radio wireless DMX. The controller runs on 100 to 240 VAC current for worldwide use.

A: Yes, ,the Kino Flo FreeStyle/4 Extension Cable (25') is compatible on the select 30 & select 20 as well as freestyle21, 31, 41, FT44 & FT24.

A: All lamps are controlled as one.

A: It has a controller in the back to control the light but that's not called DMX controller

A: It is a little brighter than the 201 Diva light but very similar.

A: The Diva 20 LED is a 150w fixture. That is loosely equivalent to a 750w tungsten soft.

A: Thank you for the question. I don't have a Silver Dome rating (full f-stop, half f-stop, etc.) but if it's a full f-stop on a 750 incandescent point source, the Diva-Lite 20 at 100% will be as soft a wrap, and the light output would be very close match, at 40 FC (400LUX) at 8ft from the subject.

[2500 to 9900K] After being tasked with setting up a small in-house video studio, the FreeStyle Air Max was recommended to me. We are now doing a lot of product demo videos and the Air Max was the perfect compliment to the few LED lights that I had. The Freestyle controller is easy to use and the light quality, versatility, and coverage of this light panel is AMAZING. I am using a snap-box diffuser which makes set up quick and painless. [2500 to 9900K] I usually rent a large G&E truck package for all my shoots as a DP. However I bought this light because it's so useful and I was requesting it on every job anyway. Need a last minute eyelight? Here you go. Want to arm out a top-light or kicker? This is your guy. It pulls out of the case and is up and running in seconds, and is easy to battery-power for remote shoots. The egg crate is solid and provides focused soft light, or you can remove it for more intensity and spread. With wireless DMX built-in, it's just an all around low-weight useful light that's full RGB with handy FX options. And Kino's color science is among the best. Very happy with it. 5

[2500 to 9900K] Spent quite a bit of time looking at Kino Flo lights and other lights in the class. Hands down this is the best lighting available. Spot on with color accuracy. Color does not shift or vary when the amount of power is reduced. Attention to detail is incredible. This is a 'no joke' light and is intended for the serious film or content creator. 5

[14.5 lb] There is a reason to spend this much on a light, it does what other lights fail to do well. �Precise color temperature, magenta/green hue adjustment, RGB colors. �Also, there is little to no change in output while making color adjustments. �I find it provides plenty of well-diffused output, and it's great at matching with other lights or lighting situations. 5

[2500 to 9900K] I really like this light panel. In fact within a week of receiving it, I ordered a second one. The menu is very intuitive, really no directions needed and Kino Flo has a complete listing of all the filters and numbers available on their website. The light output is very uniform to my eye. Color temperature is pretty much spot on. I've tried other light panels and this one in my opinion is the best value out there right now. Very satisfied! 5
