Q: 1. has anyone used this light? would love some first hand use before I purchase? any problems? how is the colour?

A: The Intellytech LiteCloth LC-160 2 x 2' Foldable LED Mat is a very good option for a lightweight, portable, and foldable light source. [Proprietary] It took a month to get to me because it was on back order, but boy it was worth the wait! The light is very light weight, easy to use, and is extremely convenient. The light is fairly bright and has a very wide range of color temperature adjustment (3000-9999). I've used on a few shoot so far and it was a great addition to my set up very happy with this light!

[Proprietary] I have one of the original LC-160s and just got a 2.0 to supplement it. The LED panels appear to be similar or identical to the previous ones. On the old version, the velcro strips that connect the bracket to the panels' backing start detaching after hanging for a while (both the velcro and the adhesive, though it takes a long time), so the addition of grommets to the backing and ties to secure it to the bracket is very welcome. The new model also seems to be more tightly manufactured, as the diffuser and grid sag a lot less out of the box, at least on my unit. This wasn't a big deal on the old one but it does look much better now. I'm of two minds about the new controller: there's no more brick attached to it but it is a lot bulkier as a consequence. It's good that a clamp is included specifically to mount it. The screen and interface are functional, but fairly dated. The LEDs no longer immediately turn on after powering on the controller (there is a delay of about a second) but a dedicated blackout button is provided, which is instantaneous. One thing that I miss is dedicated output and temperature dials; you now have to press a button to select the parameter you want and turn the single dial to change it. However, I'm not going to lower the rating for that, because the old dials were admittedly too easy to turn accidentally, and the new system makes that far harder. I can't comment on connectivity options, as I've never used them.

[20' / 6 m] I use this on pro sets. Amazing lighting that I can squeeze into anywhere

[Proprietary] I have 2 of these that I use with my 2 LC-120's. It does the job and allows me to leave my control box on the ground when the lights are rigged up at the ceiling. This is an essential add-on for these lights - the included cable is just too short to be useful.

[Proprietary] I really like this light for my travel key light. The velcro is very strong. And the light output is much strong than I expected.

[0.965 lb] This is probably the light that I use most often. Built quality is great. Really lightweight and quick to setup and boom anywhere. Color metrics are even better than advertised, especially for skin tones.

Velcro is shockingly strong and much better to use than alternative mats that use x-brackets. The profile is able to stay super slim with the included bracket.

I was really surprised to learn it comes with a hard pelican-like case making the value of this kit even better than I thought before buying it. That alone saves $150-$200 buying an aftermarket hard case. Fly with it all the time and stays in great condition.

Ballast is completely silent allowing me to keep it on a light stand nearby while I boom over the subject with no sound issues.

It's a great, lightweight 2x2 that I highly recommend having in the kit.

[Proprietary] Bought this light for a shoot in Vegas after using the Mega LiteCloth 2.0 and it was a perfect solution for soft, professional lighting without all the checked bags.

I've used this light as a key for continuous light studio photography and packed it up to go to a brand story video shoot in the same day. It's powerful enough to be an incredible key light in most situations while also being one of the least invasive options for those who are a little timid on camera.

It does take a little longer for me to set up than a typical dome light but is still a great trade off for something so packable.
