A: This version of the Audix SCX1 ships with a Hyper Cardioid capsule. A cardioid and omni directional capsule is also available, making this mix a great modular solution.

A: This will not work with an adapter. It is designed only for compatible Audio-Technica body-pack transmitters with 4-Pin CH-Style Hirose connectors. Q: 6. Are these capsules interchangeable with Audix's micro series of microphones?

A: Hi Tyrone, The capsules on the Audix SCX1 mics are a different diameter to the Audix Micro series so are not interchangeable. The Audix Micro series does have field replaceable capsules in cardioid, hyper-cardioid and omni versions.

Q: 7. To keep out of my shot, how far away can this be placed from the subject? For a one person indoor interview.

A: The Audix SCX1-HC can be placed at around 5 feet away from the person talking, at the very most.

Q: 8. What does the drops and spills protection cover?

A: This kit comes with the Audix HT2 condenser headworn microphone.

Q: 10. its phantom power required? I would like to put ii on top my DSLR to get interior speeches or dialogs.

A: It needs a XLR connection (cable). I use it with a Zoom H6 and synchronize in post.

[Black] This is my third low profile cable from Cable Techniques, this one for my Rycote pistol grip. The first was for my MixPre 6, the second for my FS5. These are the result of my possibly unnecessary nervousness over the length of a regular XLR connection and its leverage: I just dont like that extra length sticking out waiting for me to snag, which in my mind is sure to happen. They dont affect the signal and I feel better. One bonus of having three is I now have three of the tiny allen keys needed to adjust the connector angle, because, of course, Im afraid of losing one when I really need it. 5

[Black] I got a pair of these cables to use with the Mini XLR outputs of the Zoom F8 field recorder. Using them to connect the recorder to a pro video camera and also monitor speakers. They work well for this and were just about the only pre-built cables I could find with the correct connectors. The cable is pretty thin, but I expected that. 5
