Q: 9. I have a recessed light fixture trim with a built in LED light engine with an output of 840 lumens. This fixture is on the same switch/dimmer system as adjacent LED fixture with a lumen output of 450 lumens. How many layers/filters would I need to get the 840 lumen fixture's output down to the 400/500 lumen range ?

A: ND .03 is 1 stop. 1 stop is 100% more light up or 50% less down. To go from 800 to 400 you would need 1 layer.

Q: 10. Can I use these sheets to reduce light intensity for food photography in my softbox?

A: These sheets will reduce half a stop of light. You could use them with softboxes for food photography.

[3.6 x 2.6 x 1"] We shoot lots of interviews in hotel rooms. It's a shame to have a room with a beautiful view and not be able to use it because the light outside looks like "nuclear winter" and blown out. We ship a roll of this ahead of our team. They travel with a squeegee, knife, and bottle of window cleaner. Before the shoot they'll apply the gel to the inside of the windows and our shots look great. 5

[2.6 lb] We shoot a lot of indoor interviews in hotel rooms and office suites with beautiful views out the windows. But balancing the bright sunlight to an interior LED-lit interview has been nearly impossible until we got this gel. Now we ship a roll of this ahead of most major jobs! With a bottle of Windex, a squeegee, and a knife, we literally "tint" the inside of the windows in the shot. Now we can shoot with the view behind the subject! 5
