Enjoy peace of mind when traveling with your Panasonic AU-EVA1 securely packed in this Panasonic AU-EVA1 Compact Protective Case with Custom Foamfrom Jason Cases. It has a crushproof Pelican shell and a custom laser-cut foam insert to provide tough, durable protection. The camera body fits snugly inside the foam insert with its top handle attached, and the insert also has compartments for the LCD with mounting bracket, a microphone mount, and four batteries. There are six slots for SD cards, and additional slots for charging cables and accessories.

The case is equipped with a tight-sealing silicone O-ring and has an automatic valve that balances interior air pressure while keeping water and dust out. The case has double-throw latches that are easy to open, yet stay securely closed under impact or stress. Rubber overmolded top and side handles, a retractable extension handle, and strong polyurethane wheels with stainless steel bearings make it easy to travel with your camera gear.

Q: 1. Still have the problem of grip ?

A: At this time there are no issues with the Hand Grip on the AU-EVA1.

Q: 2. All the pictures show a microphone but it doesn't come with one does it?

A: The Au-EVA1 does not come with a microphone or a lens but it does come with a microphone holder. I will alert our webteam to this issue. We thank you for pointing this out and we apologise for any confusion and inconvenience.

Q: 3. Will see some demo video shot with EVA1?

A: I am sure that before the EVA-1 is released we will see demo videos. Please keep an eye on our website for updated info and footage as it becomes available.

Q: 4. What does this camera have for audio inputs?

A: Yes it does. The AU-EVA1 has 2 XLR inputs to connect high quality, professional microphones to it.

Q: 5. Will the EVA1 work in complete darkness with IR lights?

A: The EVA1 does have an IR Mode. You will be able to use it with IR lights in very dark settings.

Q: 6. Do you know what the output quality of the hdmi and sdi ports will be?

A: From DCI 4K down to 720HD at most common frame rates. With a firmware update, 10bit RAW as well.

Q: 7. Canon c200

A: If you are doing a personal project or finishing for distribution where 10 bit is not required, and you want continuous auto focus, then the C200 is for you. If you can live without continuous follow focus and must have 10 bit for distribution then the Panasonic EVE-1 is for you.

Q: 8. does this output hdmi and sdi simultaneously?

A: Yes, you can output both simultaneously and you can select what goes through each as far as VLog, Rec 709, etc. So, you can record VLog on a external recorder via SDI and then monitor on HDMI with a REC709 Lut applied.

Q: 9. Can this camera output 4K DCI at 59.94P without a crop in 10Bit 422 over SDI or HDMI? (I know that Raw 4K60 crops)

A: The camera does offer 4K DCI at 59.94p through HDMI at 10 bit 422. The SDI output when not capturing RAW offers 4k DCI up to 30p. Crop does not appear with HDMI doing 4K 59.94p.

Q: 10. Will the older style HVX200 batteries (D54) work with the EVA1?

A: Sorry, no, the batteries for the HVX200 will not work. Batteries made for the DVX200 can work however. This would be the one to consider since it is the longest lasting. Panasonic 7.28V 86Wh Battery for DVX200 (11,800mAh) B&H # PAAGVBR118.

[Yes] It took me a while to select a middle range cinema camera while researching the EVA1, C200 and the Ursa MINI Pro.� Eventually I settled on the EVA1 and have not regretted it for one second.� Easily accessible functions, wonderful dual native ISO (like its Varicam big brothers) light weight, nice side grip with function control and the images!� Wow!� It sports the same color science as the Varicam line so if you're shooting on those it will easily cut.� People have complained about the EVF and yes, it's pretty bad in bright sunlight but quite honestly it's a minor sticking point with me and it's a fault easily overshadowed by all of the other great things about the camera. I'll be using a SmallHD, so, not a problem.� Well done Panasonic! 5

[Pelican 1510] This camera is a machine! For the price you wont get a better deal for the image quality! I have worked with a lot of different cameras in this size and scale and in my opinion Panasonic delivers the best image quality and color (Minus some green tinting) than other brands. The colors on this camera just hold and give you a vibrant image when that's what your looking for! 5

[Pelican 1510] We loved the Eva 1, I bet this is the best camera you can get for this price. The size and the grip is good enough to carry it around the whole day. It is robust, and well designed for documentarist that need a small and powerful camera for a one-man camera. The image is impressive, specially the high iso and the latitude… It left my old blackmagic far behind. We are still getting used with the camera, but it is not perfect: - the LCD has a hood that is something close to useless… It is impossible to shoot under the sun. We had to take it off and buy a zacutto viewfinder.� - The zebra spreads to the whole image when shooting with high ISO… Panasonic needs to solve this problem fast for a new firmware! - The zoom focus assist depends on a wheel to move around the image. I was used to my old C100 Canon that had a �joystick and it was very good, specially under critical situations on the field. If I recommend? I suggest a close look at C200 to check whether it is more appropriate for your needs. They have different specs. We are happy with our choice. 5

[Pelican 1510] This is the best Super35mm cinema camera under $10k. Amazing image quality, beautiful color, great and useful codecs and ProRes and raw output when needed. Beautiful image - I've used the FS7, FS5, C200, and C300II and this is a combination of my favorite form factor and image. Nice work, Panasonic. At its new lower price, it really is a steal. Just make sure to get an external monitor (the Shinobi or Focus or Swit 55-C are all good options and won't add much to the cost of the cmaera). 5

Was previously considering the UMP and C200. The EVA1 is a versatile camera that suits my documentary style of shooting well. Pairs great with Lumix GH cameras for B and C cams. So far it has been a workhorse on two docs, and a reality show. Definitely recommend the Zacuto Z-Finder, as the comments are true, the LCD screen is pretty much useless in direct sunlight. Will likely pick up a Shogun next to take advantage of the 5.7K for commercial and narrative work. 5
