Engineered to Al Nagler's uncompromising standards but at an entry-level price, the long-focal length Tele Vue 90-Degree Accessory Package TV-60produces a low magnification on most OTAs for both near and deep-sky observations.

It is made using diffraction-limiting high-index glass lenses in a 4-element/2-group configuration to keep light on-axis and reduce astigmatism and edge-aberrations across its generous 50° apparent field of view. Fully multi-coated optics, blackened lens elements, and anti-reflection threads complement the optical components to improve contrast and light transmission, while limiting its loss. Its long 17mm eye relief allows users the room to back off from the eyecup for a more comfortable viewing experience with a reduced risk of accidental contact with the eyepiece lens which can cause vibrations and interfere with views. Ideal for fast-focal ratio OTAs, the eyepiece features a standard 1.25" barrel to be compatible with the most popular size of focuser and accessories, with a convenient fold-down rubber eyecup. This model of the Plossl series is parfocal with all Tele Vue Group 'B' eyepieces, allowing you to change compatible eyepieces without having to refocus — saving time and limiting vibrations.

A: 1) The bare end of the 4x Powermate barrel does slide into the 2 adapter that screws onto the SCT rear cell.You'll need to make sure the 4x Powermate is firmly secured into the 2 adapter since the 4x Powemate is a bit heavy (especially with the camera attached!).2) No, the camera cannot be attached to the 4x Powermate by simply using a 2 adapter and Canon T-Ring.To place an SLR camera onto the 4x Powermate (unfortunately) another adapter is necessary, which is the TeleVue 4x Powermate T-Ring.The 4x Powermate has to be partially disassembled then the Televue 4x Powermate T-Ring gets screwed onto the 4x Powermate. Then, the Canon T-Ring is screwed onto the 4x Powermate T-Ring. Then the camera can be attached to the Canon T-Ring.

A: Yes it is. This is parfocal with Tele Vue Group B eyepieces so no refocusing is required when switching between eyepieces within the group.

A: Yes, you will need the adapter. You can go with the long or short SCT adapter. I use the short adapter with my 8 and the long with my 12 SCT.

[0.345 lb] I'm using 4x Powermate for astrophotography with an E0N 72mm. The first things that I noticed was the high quality of the optics and the manufacture of the barlow. It is important tho say that I had to use several extension tubes to reach the focus point. 5

[50°] The Televue 2 2X Powermate is a well-built item, as expected for Televue. Compared to a standard barlow, the Powermate delivers better off-axis correction, making it more suitable for imaging. For visual use, the Powermate pretty much disappears and the observer just enjoys the greater magnification. 5

With my Nikon attached the combo makes my 1000 mm APO refractor into a 4000 mm telephoto lens for shots of the planets and the Moon. The optics are superb and everything fits together nicely, The first night out I produced results better than was possible with film. When I refine my technique I expect to dramatically improve on what I already have. 5

[50°] Works beautifully with my 115mm refractor + diagonal; am unable to obtain focus without diagonal. Top notch optics for both eyepiece observation and photo imaging with my DSLRs. 5

[50°] I have tested the 4X Powermate with all of my eyepieces on my 12" focal length 2438mm telescope. Even when I exceeded the theorectical maximum magnification the views were good. I have also done some limited prime focus + 4X PM astrophotography of some planets, which was the primary reason I purchased the 4X Powermate. Image scale was what I hoped. 5
