[7.2 lb] I found myself carrying 2-3 smaller bags camera, lenses, tripod etc. My photography coach recommended this backpack. The exterior straps are well designed for comfort. The interior compartments allow protection of the sensitive equipment. A little on the pricey side; but worth it.

[Sea Pine Green] Things I was looking for: place for tripod, place for hydration bladder, storage for mirrorless camera with 1-2 lenses, ventilation next to my back. This pack seems to fulfill all those needs!

[Yes] Main takeaways: 1. This bag definitely accommodates a 14 MacBook Pro in the front pocket (not the back), and 2, While this bag is slightly longer than most airlines' allowed dimensions for an under-seat 'personal item' I was able to fit it under the seat in front of me on all six international flight legs I just completed on a recent trip. I flew on Virgin Atlantic, easyJet, Eurowings, Ryanair, and TAP Air Portugal. See photos.

While it was a snug fit, I was able to travel with my Sony a7rII, with three lenses (Tamron 2.8/28-75, Samyang 35 f2.8, and Sony FE 28mm F2 + 21mm Ultra Wide Converter) along with laptop, cables, and accessories.

The shoulder straps are amazing and made the backpack very comfortable for extended journeys through European cities.

Lenses up to about 5 in length, but not more, will comfortably fit on end. For shorter trips I've also stowed my Sony 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 GM lens in the top compartment of the bag, but I wouldn't recommend this for air travel since it is not fully protected.

Highly recommend this pack for photography excursions involving air travel.

[Yes] THis is the second Shimoda I have - I also have the older 40L. My Sony 200-600 barely fit into the 40L, but there's room to spare in this 60L. The crazy thing is, I can 't find a Shimoda insert that holds the tele with camera attached. I ended up getting a f-stop XL insert to use in this pack.

[7.2 lb] After years of searching I think I finally found the perfect bag for me. I started with a PD Everyday V1 bag which I disliked for many reasons, most of which being comfort and the fact that my gear felt like it was never well protected. I then moved over to the Lowepro Freeline 350 which was really good but definitely had its quirks, and lacked quite a few features overall. I recently started the search again and the Wandrd Prvke came up quite a bit. I ended up giving the 21L a shot and have to say I really hated a lot about that bag. The roll top was a pain, the side access was extremely tight and cumbersome (not to mention on the left), and the bag was very uncomfortable.

I had seen the Shimoda on some reviews, but initially didn't look further into it because I thought it might be too Landscape-y and I thought they only offered a 30L. I was really after a more urban, smaller size backpack that I could use as an everyday carry and then take on some trips as well. After more research and looking at other pics, I fell in love with the design and it is great in person. I ended up buying the Wandrd Prvke premium straps in orange and figured I'd keep them, and they work super well on the bag to make it a bit more urban.

Overall the bag has everything I could ask for. Fits all my gear perfectly, I set up the cube so the side access works flawless even with my A7IV 35mm GM and RRS L Bracket attached. The bag is extremely comfortable with the stock straps, but I opted to buy the Simple Straps so the huge phone pockets etc didn't get in the way, and I could use a PD Capture Clip. I highly recommend the bag and it has so many well thought out features that I am very impressed with.

[7.2 lb] If you are a landscape photographer and like to carry a healthy amount of equipment, this is your bag. The bag is lightweight. It holds a large amount of equipment and the shoulder straps are the most comfortable I've used (I've had Think Tank and f-stop bags, which are also quite good, but none is as comfortable as this one. Shimoda also has an excellent system of matching accessories. When traveling by air I put all my essential, photo equipment in the Shimoda roller, collapse the Explore 60 so it fits in my check bag and traipsing through airports is quite easy. The 60 will also leave you with plenty of extra room for jacket, food, and other photo accessories that don't need to be in the main compartment. It's also very sturdy. I've had mine since these were first shipped and it remains in great shape and is the first bag I go to for landscape photography that will involve some hiking.

[Universal] I purchased this backpack on sale in a deal zone offer. Man is it comfortable. I have loaded it up with a field recorder, batteries, microphones, tripod, and assorted accessories to a considerable weight and yet it floats on my back. Love the harness and adjustments; it keeps the pack tight and steady on you back. Looking forward to taking this on long hikes in the field.

[Yes] Although I have not had a lot of trail experience with the pack at the time of this review, what field time I have had with it has lead me to believe its an exceptional bag. Very well designed and very well put together. The materials are top notch. The design is very thoughtful. Its definitely rugged and has the ability to be customized for various torso lengths. It is a photo backpack so its not the most easily accessible bag while you are wearing it. If you have set up the internal units correctly the camera can be accessed from either side without taking the pack off. Seams quite weather resistant. Each internal unit comes with a zippable bagto provide another layer of dust and water resistance.

[Sea Pine Green] Love the pack. Sever exterior entrances for camera and gear. sits right on the back and holds a lot of gear. see internal insert for evaluation on interior.
