CineMilled Upper Tilt Arm extension are modular and come in 2″ tall stages. They can be connected together to achieve the FULL 4″ maximum.

Tilt extensions allow much taller cameras to be secured in the Ronin 2 camera “cage” such as ARRI Alexa, Panasonic Varicam XT and even many other ENG type broadcast cameras.

Securing the camera from the upper dovetail is vital to be able to achieve full R2 performance. You will be able to use higher stiffness numbers as a result.

The 2 stages are designed to be centered via locating pins that insure a perfect fit. All hardware is included for installation. Installation is simple and takes just one min!

Q: 1. What are the difference between these and the DJI extension rods for the Ronin M?

A: The extension arms from Cine Milled are 2.5 x 0.5 x o.5 / 6.4 x 1.3 x 1.3 cm and they do not have an end cap.DJI Extends the Vertical Adjustment Arms, located on both sides of the camera base plate, by 30mm.

Q: 2. Will this work with the Ronin RS2?

A: It will not.

Q: 3. If I use these on the Ronin MX with a Canon C300 mki will I be able to use briefcase and overslung mode normally?

A: I use the C100 mkii with these extentions in the ronin mx and the dimensions of the camera won't let you turn the ronin from normal mode to overslung without turning the ronin off. It' not the best camera size for the ronin.

Q: 4. Will this work with the Glide Gear DNA 6000 arm and vest?

A: This combination is unknown but it should work with any 7/8 post. The Glide Gear DNA 6000 is reported to be 7/8 so you should be good.

Q: 5. Does this work with the Ronin-MX as well?

A: Yes, this will work with the Ronin-M and Ronin-MX.

Q: 6. Which lower plate is comparable with it ? I need lower plate to mount it on manfrotto plate

Q: 7. What are the hole sizes in the Cinemilled armpost adapter plate? I'm wondering if using a male to male 1/4 or 3/8 thread adapter, I could attach a Ronin-S to this plate (i.e., not attach the armpost adapter to a gimbal handle bar but just to the bottom of the Ronin-S).

A: We are not aware of a way for this product to be used with the Ronin-S. One portion connect to a 1/2" post from a Steadicam system, while the other connects to a 30mm Top Bar on the original Ronin.

Q: 8. Will this work with ronin mx?

A: This plate is for the larger, original Ronin and may not work with the Ronin MX. The Ronin MX was only just announced at NAB in Las Vegas so all of the compatibility details are not yet known. Please keep an eye on our website for updates and details as they become available.

Q: 9. Is this arca swiss compatible???

A: Yes, the DJI Upper Quick Release Plate for Ronin is an Arca-Swiss plate.

Q: 10. Hi i have an SK steadicam vest and i want to use it with the cinemilled armpost adapter and i want to know wich hole size i have to choose..!?

A: Unfortunately, neither we or CineMilled have heard of the SK Steadicam vest . We therefore ask you contact the manufacturer and then CineMilled with that information so that the proper adapter can be selected.

[0.29 lb] Really helpfull item to relax motors on Ronin M. The temperature on motors is getting higher on Ronin M when using. Whit this item I can achieve a great ballance between my DSLR Canon 1 DX Mark II and Ronin M 5

[0.29 lb] Nothing is wrong with this product, but I recommend it more for smaller cameras with lighter weight. On a heavier cinema camera, this will loosen and potentially drop your camera. 5

[0.29 lb] If your camera is an odd fit on the Ronin, you'll probably want these. These extension arms easily screw on to the bottom of the Ronin to give you a little more wiggle room in balancing the camera. I would note, however, you may want to remove these for storage of your Ronin, as they are too long to allow the stabilizer to fold completely flat. 5

[0.29 lb] With these extenders it is now possible to use a Canon c100 and c100II on the Ronin-M. Without them, there is not enough clearance on the top to install and balance camera. There is still limited travel, however. Under slung mode on the Ronin works perfectly, over slung works if you fiddle with it. Briefcase mode didn't work at all because of clearance issues. Both cameras eyepieces restrict tilt. The c100 has better clearance than the mark II because of the smaller eyepiece. The Ronin motors did not seem stressed with the heavier camera. I did a 5 hour shoot in a concert setting... this is a much better rig than using a steadicam....by far 5

[0.29 lb] Got a ronin m and wanted to pair it with the canon 1dx mark II. This enabled it to be balanced due to the cameras height causing tilt issues. Only con is that when you attach these on the ronin, it can barely go back on the stand without the arms touching the ground but that's not a big issue at all. 5
