The PT1200-LS 12" Portable Light Stand Telepromptermounts to a separately available light stand for easy placement in front of nearly any kind of camera. The light-stand mountable design precludes the need for a baseplate rig, keeping setup times fast and enabling the use of smaller tripods. Composite, VGA, and HDMI inputs are available on the prompter LCD, which is readable out to 20'. Connect your Mac or PC with the included PrompterPro software installed to display text for the talent to read.

Q: 1. I'd like to be able to feed video to the prompter via a Blackmagic Design ATEM TV Studio HD switcher (Aux output). Does the monitor give me the ability to adjust resolution so the doesn't look squeezed?

A: Unfortunately, the PT1200 is designed only to work under its native resolution of 1024 x 768.

Q: 2. If I want to use it outside, where I have no AC-Power. Is there any option to run it by a battery?

A: While Ikan does not make a cable that allows this Teleprompter to be powered by more traditional Video Production batteries, we do have some options for battery packs with an AC power connection that you could look into. The GOAL ZERO Yeti 150 Solar Generator Power Pack would be a good place to start.

Q: 3. Is the software downloadable rather than using the CD? I don't have a CD unit on my computer!

A: The ikan PT1200 12" Portable Teleprompter Kit (B&H# IKPT1200) could accept a Sony VENICE 6K Digital Motion Picture Camera (B&H# SOMPC36101).

Q: 5. According to some reviews there has been unsatisfying software. In case there has never been an update for 2019 buyers, which other software could be used for PC please?

Q: 6. Has anyone purchased the SKB 1914-8 Case? Which one is it exactly?

A: The reusable storage foam that the PT1200 comes with is compatible with the SKB 1914-8 Case. We suggest getting SKB 3I-1914-8B-E, which is the empty version of the case.

Q: 7. Does this Prompter work with a Sony PDW-150?

A: Yes, the PT1200 Teleprompter works with the Sony PXW-150.

[1024 x 768] They fit in my carry on bag when I have to do travel shoots. They are pretty light weight and portable. Easy to set up. Would definitely recommend for a travel kit. They do not hold a ton of weight though, so keep that in mind, but they hold my LED hotlights. 5

[4:3] I decided to give this stand a shot for indoor wedding getting ready /prep shots. My goal way to use it with a speed light: it worked really well for this. For a second wedding, I decided to try an s bracket with a 24-inch Glow HexaPop modifier and a speed light. This worked better than expected, though I was careful with this setup. When folded up, the stand almost fits into this modifier's carrying case (very convenient). I have not used this thing outside; I use my other light stands for that purpose. Highly recommended for low-weight, indoor applications. 5

[1024 x 768] I purchased this stand because I am a traveling wedding photographer. I needed a tall light stand you put my Alienbees 1600 on. I previously used the Manfrotto nano, which was good but just not tall enough. In terms of construction I give the LS-RL7 an A-. It has all metal legs and column, although the clamps are plastic. Don't get me wrong this thing looks like you could set it up then beat someone with it. I am very satisfied with it's construction. It extends to over 7' when fully set up. Although when I set it up with the legs fully extended its about 7' right on the dot. It holds my 5 point strobe great. What I love is that it's tall and it fits inside my luggage. 5

[160 x 140°] Got these for a few weddings I had to travel for, and did not want to spend a lot. I thought they would feel cheap and flimsy, but they don't (this is compared to cheap amazon metal stands). I can even fit them in a carry on. They have a good height to use for a wedding reception (this is where I use them) and while maybe not as high as I like them, they were enough, a good trade off in order to pack so small. I did not let them rest flush in the floor, but raised them like 6 inches above the ground. They felt solid for my godox flashes (t685) magmods. Really happy I got them, specially being on the least expensive side (I almost got the Matthews version). 5
