A: By my tests I cannot get the Ikan Elite Remote to pair with two devices. Sounds like you might be trying to monitor the text position using one iPad with the other in the prompter. I would caution that if you NEED that feature, I would go with a NON iPad driven system. iPads and the subsequent prompter software is very limiting for studio use. I love my Ikan, but I would never bring it to a client set, I only use it for a simple show with one actor and me as camera op.

Q: 4. Will this work with the iPad Air 2?

A: no the remote doesn't respond

Q: 5. What is the widest focal length you can use?

A: Around 28MM (FULL FRAME).

Q: 6. Would this work with a mid-sized DSLR with a mid-zoom sized lens attached ? Say a Nikon D800 with a 28-70mm lens? Or is that too much camera/lens to fit?

A: Yes. I use this with a D800 in combination with several lenses, including an 85mm, 24-85mm, and 70-200mm.

[8 lb] I looked for a long time for a simple iPad teleprompter built to go on rails so I could add it to my existing rig. All I could find were all-in-one units built to stick you camera on, but no consideration for all my other accessories like field monitor, recorder, wireless units, etc. So I bought one of those and got metal working friends to modify it for me, and it ended up being a pain to work with. I finally had enough, and found this teleprompter. It is absolutely perfect. Slides right onto my rails, the glass is completely adjustable, the magnetic hood rules, and the iPad tray is solid. Love this product. 5

[8 lb] This is the Teleprompter on rails that you've been looking for. Finally after hours and hours of searching on the Internet, you have finally arrived at your destination. Go ahead and kick back and relax as you have finally done it this is the only Teleprompter that works on 15MM rod/rails and it works like a dream. Sadly the description doesn't even mention this and you kind of have to figure it out from the pictures. I am now ordering my third one 5

[8 lb] We've been using camera-attached teleprompters every day for years. We've tried several brands and they've all been painful to use, time-wasting necessities. Not to mention one where the method of attaching the camera to the unit was so dubious, we always worried we'd drop a $12K camera to the floor. I've been looking for a solution like this for years. One other company came out with one, we bought it and sadly it was junk. When I saw this one I immediately bought it. So happy that I did. It's a well-made piece of hardware and allows us to quickly go from having a teleprompter to not having one in minutes. The only negative thing I can say about this product is that the documentation is pretty weak, but the product is so simple and straight-forward to use, you won't really need it. If you need a prompter, definitely try this one first. 5
