The PortaBrace Atomos Shogun Inferno Monitor Case & Visorfrom PortaBrace Atomos Shogun Inferno Monitor Case & Visoris designed for carrying and protecting the Atomos Shogun Inferno monitor. The case features a foldout anti-glare visor that improves screen visibility while using the monitor outdoors, and can also fold to create its own sturdy stand which angles the monitor for optimal viewing. When the monitor is not in use, the entire unit folds into a protective compact case for carrying over the shoulder.

This monitor case is constructed from 1000D abrasion-resistant, ultra-durable Cordura nylon for long-life reliability in harsh field conditions. The Cordura material is also woven with an extra layer of water-resistant treatment and is cold-crack tested at -40°F for four hours. The bottom of the case is lined with anti-skid, waterproof material to provide a solid protective base.

Durable Leno mesh is used over the vent panels to allow heat from the monitor to escape during use. A Cordura flap can be secured over the ventilation panels to prevent water from entering the holes when recording in the rain, while still allowing heat to escape.

[1.3 lb] When B&H put the special price with the accessory kit out for this, I knew I had to pick one up. Being able to record from flags from HDMI or SDI is a dream; the screen is nice and bright and works perfectly for my needs! 5

[1.3 lb] Pros: Absolutely love the color on the screen. The 2.5 SSD slot is a great feature. Cons: It tends to overheat in summer temperatures around 80°F and in my studio. Many of the features I wanted to use, such as NDI, RTMP, and others, are locked behind the Atomos Cloud Service. Conclution: I learned that without paying Atomos over $500 a year, this monitor essentially becomes just a $1,000 Display that can record to an SSD. Thoughts: I purchased it to future-proof my kit, thinking I could use the Shogun for SDI to HDMI conversion and for connecting a camera to NDI for live streaming directly via RTMP after no replies to messages. It's foolish for Atomos to operate in a way that prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, I can't return it now and I don't feel comfortable selling it. I'm building a network with a lot of work and on a school bus driver’s income. Sofar and for now this purchase has left a significant mark on me being able to recommend anything made by Atomos. I will update if anything changes. 5

[1.3 lb] First off, I am using this with the new Sony FS7 Mk 2, The Shogun Inferno was more for a multi function monitor that was also bright enough. At 1500 nits and being able to record...it was a no brainer for me at least. The first thing I wanted to do was protect and have great mounting options for the Shogun Inferno. This was by all accounts the only game in town for a cage...I couldn't seem to find anything else to compare it to so I just bought it. It's fairly light weight, assembles very quickly and there are of course different mounting points but what i really like are the little things like there is a fold over tightening bar to cover the SSD. What I don't like is that with some of these parts the screws can come out if you're not careful...then you will be looking for buying new ones. there is also an HDMI guard for your cables...if I used HDMI, I would probably appreciate this more. Overall, it's a no brainer purchase, just buy it and be happy knowing your gear is protected on shoots. 5

[1.3 lb] I bought this as I’d like to support a none Asian company . This is a very high quality frame not cheap item it is real heavy and a great nice design it gives the 7” monitor a real great look but the most is the protection. Very highly recommended by me a guy who knows what quality is . As I always buy quality items and was born in a country where most of us knows what quality is . Very highly recommended from this great place B&H as I’ve been a customer for many many years very trusted company to buy from . 5

[1.9 lb / 860 g] This is my second Shogun 7 kit. When you rely on something so frequently, a backup is good insurance. I use the Shogun 7 to record up to 4 SDI signals and use it to produce a switched program output to an encoder for streaming. The video and audio quality is outstanding, and it is very easy to learn and use. 5
