This Profoto 20° Honeycomb Grid for Zoom ReflectorWhen used with an older Profoto Zoom Reflector (circa 1990's), this grid requires a barndoor with grid holder or a grid and filter holder kit.

Grids are essential accessories for any lighting system. These devices alter the shape and intensity of the light output from your flash heads. Using a grid will narrow the circle of light when it is attached to the front of your light source. The size of the circle of light will be determined by the density of the honeycomb, its thickness, and the distance of the subject. The lower the number is in degrees the smaller the circle of light.

A: Laurie, I am not sure about 'without the aded dome' part of your question. However the Profoto Zoom Reflector 2 is a quick and easy way to modify the light when used with the B1 OCF. I have found adding the Profoto Grid Kit (B&H #PRG5K MFR #900849) takes the Zoom Reflector to another level entirely.

A: This reflector is compatible with most Profoto flash heads including the B10 and B10 Plus.

Q: 7. Will this reflector fit on the new B2 Head?

A: I use this item on a B1. However, I also have several of the new Profoto OCF modifiers designed for the B2 and they all fit on my B1's. All of Profoto's modifiers are suppose to be interchangeable across their various heads, including the B2.

[Metal] I thought I might use this grid once in a while when using the zoom reflector, but I honestly don't remember the last time I used the reflector without a grid. Great tool for controlling light spill... lets you throw the light right where you need it. 5

[Metal] I mainly use this grid on my profoto b1 as a hair light or head shot rim light. It does a good job of keeping the light directional and helps to prevent getting any lens flare from spilled light. 5

[20°] I use on of my Profoto B1's as a hair light. With the Zoom reflector the light spill was too much. The 10 degree grid took care of that problem instantly. I like the control it gives. 5

[20°] I use this grid in many different settings, studio and location. The grid is well built and should last a very long time. The spread of light is accurate as well. 5

[0.31 lb] Use this with the barndoor, it sits flimsy but thats the barndoor design flaw. the grid is deeper than my other grid. feels strong too 5

[Metal] Solid build and works great. I like the way profoto equipment attaches to the lights. The obvious con of any profoto equipment is the price, but one pays for what they get. I use this to create a spot of light on the background when i do portrait work. 5
