Regardless of where your starting points is, the Brunton TruArc 20 Glow Compass Degrees MRAD Imperialwill help you find the correct direction to your destination even hours after the sun goes down. Compact, lightweight, and easy-to-use, its Azimuth dial, north-pointing needle, direction-of-travel arrow, vial bottom and sight will glow in the dark for up to eight hours. The Azimuth is marked in degrees and MRAD, its base has imperial scales, and it is equipped with the TruArc Global Needle system with Ever-North rare earth magnets. The compass also offers a clinometer system, a bubble level, and a fine scale readout magnifier. The fold-down protective cover has a sighting mirror.

A: It will not, this allows you to mount 6.6 pounds of accessories to the Mounting Block itself. It does not increase the overall capacity of the head.

A: The Whitepoint Optics TS70 40mm Lens has a 114mm Front Diameter that would work with Matte Boxes. It does not transmit metadata.

A: For the Magnification it is not really determined like this. It is as far as the eye can see 8X Closer to what you are looking at.

A: All compasses point ti magnetic north.

A: The Bushnell Core S-4K No-Glow Trail Camera (Camo) is not a cellular camera.

A: This model is a standard liquid dampened.

A: Because the compass is a global compass, the answer is yes. There is a difference in how the earth's magnetic field acts upon a compass in the northern and southern hemispheres. If it doesn't say it's a global compass, it will only work in the hemisphere its sold in.

[0.35 lb] I wanted to try out the new rare earth magnetic needle, which is supposed to be more stable, and less effected by near by metals. I haven't had this compass long enough to prove or disprove this claim. The compass housing is classic Brunton design. When closed the lid fully covers the compass base. The lanyard attaches at the lid hinge, which causes a problem laying the compass flat on the map unless the lanyard is tucked into the open space between the hinge and compass base. Sighting a land mark with the mirror is similar to other mirror compass designs. Sighting with the lid laid flat would be enhanced if there was a white sighting line on the inside of the lid below the notch. The needle settles reasonably quickly. When closed the rounded corners give it a nice comfortable feel in the hand. If it doesn't develop a bubble, as some previous Brunton compasses I've owned have done I will be happy with this compass. It also comes wtth 2 Topo Buddy Universal Scale Cards. Sandwiched between heavier stock cards to protect the scale cards. That are riveted at one corner so they can pivot out for use, which is open to permit attachment of a lanyard. The 2 scale cards cover most commonly used scales and also include UTM grid scales. The cards are to large to fit inside the lid, they measure 6.2 cm x 9.1 cm. approximately the size of the compass base. 5

[9 x 5 x 1"] This is a nice rugged compass, designed for land navigation, etc. It is accurate and has a 1/4-20 threaded socket for mounting to a tripod. Although not a light or compact as a plastic compass, it should last beyond a lifetime. It comes with a lanyard and a nice leather case...Recommended. 5

[3.6 oz / 102 g] I bought this compass for my husband's birthday. He loved it except for one thing... mRad scale. I didn't look close enough at the description. He asked me to exchange it for a compass with the 0-360 measurements. 5

[9 x 5 x 1"] Bought this as a gift. my school uses the traditional 400 dollar bruntons, but they were a bit out of my price range. Purchased this instead and couldn't be happier. Very simple to use. 5
