[2.2 lb] nice quality product

[Wide Angle Lens] I ordered and use this wide angle 52mm lens hood by Dot line on my 18-to-55mm lens which came with my recently purchased Pentax Kx camera. The lens shade is rubber and collapses nicely to fit in my gadget bag. The prices is amazing considering that 30 years has passed since I purchased my last lens hood and filter for lens protection.

[0.47x] This is a nice lens hood that will work with lenses that don't really offer any other kind of hood attachment other than the filter threads. I purchased it to use with some of my prime lenses should I ever feel the need for it. I still gave it 5 stars but the only negative I have found is that you cannot attach the lens cap to the hood unlike some other similar hoods I have had. You will have to remove the hood when your done using it in order to put the lens cap back on. It also doesn't have threads on the inside for attaching filters. You would have to attach the filter first then the hood to that. For the small cost though, none of that is a deal breaker for me as I rarely used any filters on my prime lenses anyway. It does what I need it to do and that's the main thing. It is also very light weight and doesn't seem to make a noticeable difference to the weight of the lens as far as I can tell.

[2.2 lb] With its slim design, this hood fits my needs perfectly. It doesn't make the lens look that much bigger, and it provides great shade from sun flares.

[52 mm] I have only had a chance to use it in the pool, but it seems great. Can get cliser to subject and get more in photo. Quality of picture seems the same as without the lens, so that’s good!! Can’t wait to try it in the ocean.

[0.47x] A well made product which looks professional and will complement the finish of your lens. I use it on my Canon FD 24mm lens.

To some degree I have disapointment this form has little capability to block as much light as I expect will be regularly. I purchased it for when shooting, of defining the subject or frame - choosing subject, moving among subject, evaluating subject worth, knowing what the subject is, how large the field of the image is and how much is needed, the worths and needs about keeping the important subjects framed close, and what the valuable subjects are. Writing I do recall and realise the conditons where the shade functon of the hood is best served is morning where such light is less and the angle better, and realise as I see when I plan my shoot then is my time. Though I do just plan to shoot when I get up. : ) : ( : )
This form is the one I have had in preference to use. I am pleased to have it and have come to recolecton now instead of later - such as I am preparing to leave or even as late as actually at the time or in, when the light conditons I want are. (Though I do plan to just get up as I wrote; I might be aware to avoid late time conditons, when not only light but dust too is much more present, and thusly sucesfully avoid a hot wasted shoot with little product from it, realisaton, result, and the waste it is and contributes to the further producton of.
